Slovenia v Russia, (agg 1-2), PO, L2, 19:45

Uruguay v Costa Rica, 23:00

I's in Italy, innit.

However, I've just turned on the telly and it's on Euro Eurosport as well.

I'll stick with the stream though because

a) the kids won't bother me

b) it's somehow more, I dunno, radical; the future of broadcasting and all that.

c) the algerian commentary is great

*edit* I'm obviously aware that Algerian isn't a language and Ali Abdul Motty is talking Arabianspeak.

There will be an African side in the semi's at least, especially with this kind of vivacious and exuberant support.

Looking like the seeded teams are heading to the World Cup with them all holding first-leg leads and the Greeks are 10 mins away from booking their flight.

I'll be surprised if there is even an African team in the 1/4 finals. It will be cold European style weather much better suited to Northern European teams. Look out for Germany again.

Very excited to see Uruguay go through, I think my Uruguayan friend is on the floor somewhere in Chicago at this point, because he was ossified at half time.

No Dzeko attending the World Cup is great news. His fee won't inflate due to a wonderful tournament where he would have won the golden boot. We'll sign him at a reduced fee during the summer. (Insert evil laugh)

I think we won

Do you have any good ones then?

Who's your starman?

Nah, actually they're all the definition of average and I still find it hard to believe that we're going to the World Cup. I thought they went mental when they appointed Kek (as he had next to no experience and has only won the completely rubbish Slovenian league with possibly the biggest club in the country) but now he has them playing some good football.
Udinese keeper Handanovic has to be our best player and we have a very good prospect in the 19-year old Inter Milan midfielder Krhin, right now he is still a substitute for both club and country but I think he has already started some games for Inter, Liverpool were supposed to be interested a few weeks ago.

Russia were absolutely awful last night though, the score could easily have been 2 or 3 - 0.
