He has got 11 goals in 17 European games though, and 16 in 38 internationals for Uruguay.

He shits goals, and is still 23 years old. Ajax are apperantly a bit fucked financially. SIGN SIGN SIGN

The defending in the clip is appalling, as ever.

I'd rather we signed someone from Spain or Germany, preferably who wasn't a cheating, biting player.

As is the defending in the Premier League for the most part.

Did you see the fucking state of Sol Campbell at the weekend, or Stephen Warnock 5 days earlier?

Our problem is that we don't have enough Suarez's in our side to take advantage of the hapless defending we come up against on a weekly basis.

I loved his first touch on the goal number 3 out the top 10. Killed the defender in an instant and opened the goal up for him. Smart.

Why would anyone want to join while Roy is in charge....

its obvious its only a matter of weeks before the club have no choice but to end this disaster.

Although Comolli is the one in charge of the signings - there is no guarentee that the new manager will even remotely rate the player.

no european Football and a bunch of useless, bitter and burnt out team mates.

Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen could make a return to one of his former clubs, having only joined Liverpool in the summer.

The 30-year-old moved to Anfield from Juventus for £4.5million over the summer and was viewed as a replacement for Javier Mascherano . However, the Denmark international has failed to settle in Roy Hodgson's side so far and has yet to win over the Liverpool fans.

Although the uncompromising midfielder has enjoyed a glittering career across Europe and has won over 80 international caps, Italian website Tuttomercato claims that Poulsen may already be heading for an exit from Liverpool, with German side Schalke prepared to make a €3.5million bid. Poulsen played for Schalke for four years until he moved to Sevilla in 2006.

Poulsen's current Liverpool contract does not expire until 2013.

Any fee at all for Poulsen would be good, he may have been capable in his day but Ive rarely seen a player arrive in the premiership at 30 and be a success, there have been exceptions like Okocha etc but they have tended to be flair players, those who thrive on the physical side are rarely up to the task at that point

Get him out and give Shelvey his spot, add the funds to the kitty for a striker and left back

For 7 mill I wouldn't mind tbh.

GMFAccording to the Daily Express, the Reds are ready to table an offer of around £7 million Liverpool have reportedly held talks over the potential signing of Charles N'Zogbia.

According to the Daily Express, the Reds are ready to table an offer of around £7 million after scouts were dispatched to watch the Wigan winger at close quarters.

It's not the first time Liverpool representatives have been to watch the 24-year-old Frenchman, with three Anfield scouts - including chief talent-spotter Eduardo Macia - allegedly deployed to monitor N'Zogbia during Wigan's Carling Cup victory against Swansea in October.

And, according to Click Lancashire, Roy Hodgson was at the DW Stadium earlier this month and was wowed by N'Zogbia's man-of-the-match performance in the 2-2 draw with Stoke.

N'Zogbia is understood to have been identified as a high-priority target by Liverpool in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements when the transfer window opens next month.

The Liverpool boss is thought to be keeping his eye on a number of potentially potent signings after admitting his side are too dependant on the goalscoring abilities of Anfield ace Fernando Torres.

New Liverpool owners NESV are expected to back their manager in the transfer market with upwards of £25 million as he looks to bring more attack-minded players to Anfield in the New Year.

Aston Villa speedster Ashley Young and Spurs wide-man David Bentley have both been linked with moves to Anfield in January as Liverpool continue their pursuit of an added cutting-edge.

I'd prioritise a centre back over a left back, unless Agger can get fit and stay fit.

Yeah I agree, we really need to get centre of defense sorted.

Anyway, N'Zogbia for £7m sounds like a good deal I guess.

Agreed. N'Zogbia's a decent player who would immediately improve our options out wide, and that would be a reasonable price for him.

Great, someone with actual skill on the wings, than one of those players that has to cut inside.

There's no way they'll accept £7M.

Look at the prices they received for Palicious and Valencia.

We need a few more controversial players though. A few more cnuts....so to speak!

but you have to remember they've tried to get rid a couple of times now, only for the moves to fall through. It's obvius the player wants to go, so that would knock down the price

Palacios is a completely different type of player though, a midfield terrier rather than an attacking wide man. N'Zogbia isn't as quick or skilful as Valencia, but he is stronger and more versatile (can also play right side or further back at a pinch). If his head's straight, we could do a lot worse.

I'd be all for us signing Javi Martinez this coming window. Him and Raul has got the potential to be a rather splendid central midfield partnership freeing Gerrard for the no. 10 role.

Was aware that he was a good footballer although I've only seen him play a few times and was well aware that there's a few posters on here who rates him a lot but I've only just recently learned how tall/big this guy actually is. His stature combined with his good skills and vision could potentially be an instant success in the Prem. With age on his side too he's exactly the type of player I hope we're in for these days.

Don't know if we're still mooted to be interested (any recent rumours regarding him?) but he'd be a very interesting and important addition to the squad with both Lucas and especially Poulsen failing to impress in my opinion. These skillful, strong CM capable of playing both ways (defense and attack) are a rarity these days mind so he'll probably not come cheap however.

Martin Kelly and Danny Wilson are Center Backs, so is Ayalaya and he's filled the breach before, if it is tempory cover any of them would do a job, I feel Kelly or Wilson could do it full time too!

Linked with Bentley today.

I like him and rate him quite highly, although I fear he might be one of those players who only seems to play well for Hughes.

I often remember crossing the Thames to go see him play for Blackburn.

He was great.

He's been shite playing for Arsenal and Spurs, while excellent for Norwich and Blackburn.

It was nothing more than that. I don't think he's good enough tbh.
