That's hughton sacked then

Yup - massive loss for them if they can't find a draw. Wolfie has been shite, Fer good and Hooper should have been playing every game as he's actually a pretty decent goalscorer (good shout @Pesam) but their defense has been poor (at best).

Pity, i like houghton.

Spurs and Everton results are great for us, obviously we want to be looking at number 1 but as far as 4th place goes that is an excellent couple of results there, on paper that was 3 points for them.

Credit to Tony Pulis. When Holloway left, Palace had 3 points from 8 games, were 2nd last and 5 points away from safety. 2 months later, they are out of the relegation zone (albeit on GD) after 13 points from 10 matches and are just 3 points off 13th place!

Martin Atkinson is MVP of this boxing day. 3 terrible calls to pull Newcastle from 0:1 to beat Stoke

Yeah gotta hand it to him hes giving them a chance which they didn't have under Holloway, though that caretaker they had played his part picking up a few points.

Indeed, I overlooked that. 4 points from 4 matches during Keith Millen's caretaker spell. That makes Pulis' 9 point in 6 matches. Their next game is away to Man City though.

ALWAYS blame the Joos mate ...

Ramires will miss the match against us after his yellow card today. Everton will miss Howard and Barry through suspension against Southampton too. Ramsey got injured as did Rafael whereas Valencia will be missing against Norwich too.

When someone said Everton would get 9 points out of their 3 games (starting vs Fulham), some of us scoffed:

Fulham have played two very solid games on the trot (robbed of a draw against Spurs, and beating Villa today). Sunderland have been equally tough (robbed of a peno against Spurs yesterday, and played Chelsea bloody tough). Teams that are desperate to get out of the relegation areas are going to give Everton a tough time imo. They'll get 6 points.

Is funny ain't it, Downing would be one of the last names you pick or expect to be up for a relegation battle.

The simple fact of Downing not being in our team anymore is one of the reasons why we look so much better this season.
