The Suarez/Evra Racism Row
I feel so indignant. Now can every dark skinned person act agitated through out the game and start to accuse their opponents who take the mickey (football or words wise) out of them of racially abusing them afterwards?
No, every person.

"Man the fuck up!" "You pussy" "Grow a pair" etc...... these insults make reference to sex. The punishment can be no different.

"His legs are gone"..... this insulting comment makes reference to age. Ditto, the same punishment must apply.

"You blind cunt"..... this insult makes reference to disability. Ditto

I could go on and on. Football kits will need to include gaffer tape.

It's ok, this will be a one off. Same with 'respect campaign' and tapping.

Once this and the EBJT case are over, the FA will go back to their port and special handshakes, and move onto the next 'crisis'

Oh, "fuck off" is in breach of the first rule. So that means a 4 match ban

I think they will ignore all evidence and call JT innocent!

I must say its fairly shameless that this same FA went cap in hand to Uefa and had this

Rooney red card

reduced on appeal to 3 matches but would hand out an 8 match ban for this.
The suggestion being of course that assault is not as bad as abuse.

unbelievably harsh punishment for what seems to be just cultural naivety.
and it is not for racism! At least from what I read here, if both Evra and FA said he is not racist, what are they convicting him for? For making Evra and Fergie agitated?

We should install microphones all over the pitch. Should any cunt so much as even mutter the f-word on our soil, it ought to be complained about. I'm serious, we should be submitting 300 complaints every match. And all 300 have to be heard within the stipulated time frame. If they are not the FA are guilty of procedural impropriety and we are owed compensation.

I suspect all governing bodies of all sports have been encouraged to get tough on all incidents this side of the Olympics. Suarez, being foreign and a high profile cheat in the past, fits the bill quite nicely as a villain.

Its an absolute joke. They dont think he a rascist but ban him for 8 games, without evidence.

Fuck me. I give up regarding the FA. Appeal Rooneys red card and now this. I hope we appeal and drag it through the courtsif nccessary.

We can end up losing our best player because of this. Why would he want to stay and play in a corupte league where theres been a witchhunt for several months.

No, I think the term "Negrito" or "Negro" is more controversial than "South American".

Don't you?

Still fuming about the timing. More than 2 months to come to this verdict, and it lands now.

The FA have 5 days to deliver the full details before we will appeal (because we won't appeal without the full facts) = 25th December.

We/Suarez have 9 days to appeal = 25th December to the 3rd January, of which there are FOUR working days (inclusive). Of course these are professionals, but if you could choose the most difficult time to try and save someone's entire reputation, you wouldn;t choose to start on the 20th December. Just saying, no conspiracy et al.

I am livid with the FA as it is. I am absolutely gobsmacked.

Suarez is paying the price for the monkey chants against England players in foreign internationals and such like. England is teaching Johnny Foreigner that he might get away with it in his own God forsaken hole, but by God, he won't get away with it her. Fuck you Blatter. Fuck you Spanish person. etc. etc.

Don't get me wrong, there is lots of racism in world football. And it is a horrible, shit thing. I just don't think there is anything I've seen or heard to show that Suarez is racist, or that he intentionally provoked Evra through racist language during that game.

He has become a scapegoat for the FA. If EBJT gets punished by the FA, for *proper* racist abuse, not only by an Englishman, but the captain of the English team, I will be very pleasantly surprised. This thing is a load of shite. Surely the fact that Suarez is mixed-race himself shows it is bollocks? I hope we sue the FA to fucking bankruptcy.

What was he initially charged with?

and squiggles, judging by Liverpool's statement, it seems like he said something worse than that.
Maybe he did, but Evra (and Man United) were not stupid enough to admit to anything. We were.

I hope no Liverpool fan is buying the mirror anymore. Fa - 'not a racist' mirror front page 'RACIST'.

It's just not right. Don't you have some big enquiry going on over ther calling the papers on their bullshit?

Hit em were it hurts, just stop buying the rags.

Not in Spanish, Sudeca is apperantly a very bad thing to say. And Luis could claim this now as we all know you dont need evidence toback up your claims.

What I absolutly hate about this is that even if the Fa say he isnt rascist, Evra say he isnt a rascist but the media has him now labelled as a rascist. Reading the comments from Maddock, Holt and Lipton made me sick to my stomach.
An eight match ban and not reveal the evidence of what they have found guilty of.

I bemused to say the least. After the FAs involvement in the Rooney case and now this, I have to say English football is losing a lot of its appeal. I feel for Suarez, cause the FA have handled this in worst way they could have. And Im not even surprised ofthe corupte shitfaced bastards.

The actual word Evra apparently used was "sudaca" and it is just as contentious as the Spanish word "negro" if you were speaking Spanish. The exchange between Suarez and Evra was made in Spanish, was it not?

Or is a Spanish word only bad if it looks like an racist English word?

If, as Squiggles has said, that he called him 'South American....' tit, twat, cunt whatever is in breach of the rules, as per Livvy's post earlier:

Rule E3 General Behaviour
3 (1) A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not
act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any
one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive,
indecent or insulting words or behaviour.
(2) In the event of any breach of Rule E 3(1) including a reference to any one or more
of a person’s ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual orientation
or disability (an “aggravating factor”), a Regulatory Commission shall consider
the imposition of an increased sanction, taking into account the following entry
points:

For a first offence, a sanction that is double that which the Regulatory Commission
would have applied had the aggravating factor not been present.
For a second offence, a sanction that is treble that which the Regulatory
Commission would have applied had the aggravating factor not been present.
Any further such offence(s) shall give rise to consideration of a permanent
suspension.
These entry points are intended to guide the Regulatory Commission and are not
mandatory.
The Regulatory Commission shall have the discretion to impose a sanction greater
or less than the entry point, according to the aggravating or mitigating factors
present in each case.
