The Suarez/Evra Racism Row
what a little shit.
but he's our little shit..

Yep, and I couldnt care less. The ref gave him absolutly nothing all night tbh, and some of the fouls from Kompany were quite bad.

I'm on my phone and can't see tr clip in question, but fuck them. He got fuck all vs city. Smith spent the whole game commenting on how he'd make most the most of it etc. yet didn't point out they were ALL fouls.

I'm drunk. Thank you.

And this. Smith was a cheating cnut himself as a player BTW.

Somebody gave him a little kick to his head outside of that screenshot.

There was contact in that, and that's why he went down. Albeit a little easily.

I never cared about players playing inside the rules to gain an advantage anyway. Unless they can cut it out of the game properly, I'd encourage our players to do it too. Lots of players don't have morales in the game, and you don't gain anything by having them. Nice guys finish last.

Why are so many of you getting a bit het up about that clip? How many times do defenders get away with using all of their power on the margin of the law? How many times do they get away with sly kicks, tugs and sliding their studs down the backs of players calves?

Six of one half a dozen of the other, they get away with murder so strikers do the same, it's tit for tat.

I dont like some of his antics. He ave been better in that department lately but as Kompany got away to easy on the first two tackles from behind i can understand Little Luis lost it a bit again. I have no long term worries with him 🙂

Woah,so your saying he's not a little shit, mark? I think its part of what makes him such a talent, to be fair.

He's got fire In his belly and will do ANYTHING to win, obviously sometimes that manifests in moments of brilliance or alternatively unsporting behaviour.

Hed walk into any side in the world bar barca probably, he is an immense talent.

No mate, I'm saying he is a little shit, but so are many defenders. He's a winner and we've been too nice for too long.

He'd get into the Barca side as well. He's much better than Cuenca, Pedro and Sanchez.

Yup. More players like Suarez in the team please.

I think if theres anyone left making excuses for him now they're blind. He is a little shit! We knew what we were getting when we signed him....christ, he wasnt match fit when he signed because he was serving a suspension for biting, and everyone saw him getting sent off in the world cup. I'm under no illusions as to what he is. Anyone thinking that once he came to Liverpool he would change is just in denial about what our players should be in public (prim and proper and all that)! Hes the type of player we have needed. One with fire in his belly as was already said. The type that will do anything to win. The type that the rest of the league hate.....which makes me happy.....in fact we did it for years...calling Ronaldo a cunt when he was one of the best in the world. Now when a manc fan says to my face that Suarez is a little cunt I produce a smile that a chesire cant would be proud of! But saying all of that.....he's our little cunt and he's bloody brilliant!

Whenever i see Suarez go down i always think he's been whacked good and proper, he's just top notch at it.

I don't agree with all this "he's a cunt but he's our cunt" stuff either.

Neither do I. It's particularly unfortunate because it suggests the cr@p peddled about him by Ferguson and the media is starting to find an audience even among Liverpool fans. He's no childlike innocent, but he IS someone who arrived at Ajax Amsterdam as a raw teenager not even speaking the language and ended up being made skipper of such a great club. To call that kind of man a "cnut" is lazy at best.

Erm what? You dont have to read a newspaper or in anyway agree with Fergie to think diving and general cheating is the act of a cunt in football..

It's shit when its Ronaldo cause he played for Utd but when its one of ours, nah thats fine.

Noone is disputing his hunger and ability just his sportsmanship, or inherent lack of.

Do you think Carra and Stevie are c*nts ?

Actually if thats the basis of what you're going on, then you might as well label every single footballer one.

See, I think that's too superficial. There's a difference between going down when you've been kicked but could in theory have stayed on your feet, and going down when you haven't been touched at all. The first, which Suarez admittedly does, I for one have no problem with - why should the defender get away with it? The second, which was (and probably still is) Brylcreem Boy's speciality, I do have a problem with. There's also a considerable difference in the way they carry themselves off the pitch - Ronaldo behaves as though he reckons his sh!t don't stink whereas Suarez, er, doesn't. If he had, Ajax Amsterdam would never have made him skipper and he wouldn't have filled their stadium for his farewell game.

No, im not saying as a person he's a cunt. Im sure he's a top bloke but on the pitch I think his determination and drive take him beyond fair play and the rules. He's not the first and most certainly not the last to be like that and as previously noted I think its part of what makes him such a talent.

His commitment to the teams he plays for is magnificent and that's what earns him the respect from fans that gets.

Are you honestly telling me though that you don't think what Suarez does is cheating? Essentially your saying its fine because everyone else is doing it too?

Fantastic talent and I love his commitment to the club on the pitch. I just dont approve of some of his antics. Still It's part & parcel of Suarez and If you took it away from him, he'd be half the player.

I admire your purist approach, but I can't share it. Going down when you could have stayed on your feet despite being fouled would presumably count as ungentlemanly conduct, so yes, it's cheating. However, it's also a necessary evil, because the kick/nudge/push which led up to it (which will most likely go unpunished if the victim doesn't go to ground) is also a foul. My preference for whether my player does it or not would depend entirely on whether it would benefit the team, for two reasons: (a) partly because everybody else is doing it - absolutely no apology for taking that into account - and (b) why should the defender get away with the original foul?

And just to re-emphasise: much of the time Ronaldo went/goes down when nobody had/has laid so much as a shoelace on him. In my book that's a different matter altogether.

All I can say is that I recognise how world class and brilliant he is...but even with my rose tinted glasses I can see that his antics are up there with those that really annoy fans. He is definitely a team player which is why he may be cut a bit of slack against the likes of Ronaldos antics. Also, I havent been influenced by any media on the matter (that in itself is a lazy assessment Jules) because I knew watching him at Ajax he was a c*nt of a player (not a person, as hardcastle has already said) and Ferguson hadnt peddled any crap about him back then. I must stress again that I think he's fantastic and I hope he never leaves but I wont just blindly turn away from the fact just because he plays for us now he's immune from criticism about the antics that piss me off when performed by other players from other teams! In hind site I suppose the c word is a bit harsh....but he's definitely a little shit at the very least!

He gets booted far more than any of our other players, it's understandable that he takes preventative measures once in a while.

What annoys me is that every time he goes down, he waves his arms in the air like he has suffered a serious injury like a leg break. Within a minute, he is dancing around without a care in the world. I have no problem with him diving, but it is the theatrics that Ronaldo used to produce after a foul that meant he was hated by most, and Luiz does the same. Dive, get up and get on with it. Don't make out like your leg is hanging off by waving your arms in the air or punching the ground. That annoys fellow pros too as there seems to be a code of conduct in regards to arm waving while down on the floor.
