The Suarez/Evra Racism Row

So it is ok to say f**k you, c**t at another player/referee/linesman but cannot say 'small bl**k friend'?
Did you honestly post that? No I suppose it's not right to abuse anyone but it happens. Trouble is when you throw race into the mix then you are not just insulting one player are you...

I do not give a fuck about John Terry the sweet FA nor dolly questions from the press nor do I give a fuck about whether Evra is or is not a United cunt. IF Suarez was using Evras race to wind him up during a match then he needs to be punished and be seen to be punished, if your kids went out in the street and used racist language you would rightly stop them. Suarez is a representative of LFC and by extension us as fans and ultimately the individual supporter, me or you for example. I do not accept nor excuse racism nor should any of us and nor should the club.

It appears to be a clusterfuck to me, highly embarrassing for Suarez and for the club, I refuse to allow it to embarrass me by defending it through half arsed character assassination or deflection onto Terry or the press scouse witch-hunt.

By the way and while we are at it, if you are talking about the newspaper then you may wish to register your continuing disgust by spelling the word with asterisks but when talking about the fucking celestial object it is the S**, a big orange looking thing in the sky and absolutely blameless so perhaps reproaching it with asterisks is a bit fucking dozy.

Sorry to say like but tooooo many people on here have written too much and thought too little.

Both are personal and abusive. What makes one a bigger crime compared to the other? If one is to be outlawed, in my opinion the other should be too.

I'll ask again.

Has Suarez actually admitted using the word "Negrito" My view of it is that the Guardian just took the word "Negrito" as an example of a word that could be open to interpretation, and some people then run with the idea that Suarez admitted using that word.

I still believe Suarez's name will be cleared, and when it does, we better go after Manure hard hard core for slander etc.

Hansern - I also don't get the almost 'need' to want to find Suarez guilty on this site. There is no information whatsoever that hints that he is.
I don't think it's a case of that LTW. I think what's happened is a similar scenario to this.

Evra hears what he believes are racist terms being used and rightly complains.
What actually was used is the term "negrita" which, when translated literally by morons, means "little black girl" but its actual colloquial meaning is "sweetheart" which actually means Suarez was calling Evra a bit of a pussy.

So both players are perhaps correct in their stance.

What will probably transpire is that the FA, being complete fucking idiots, will completely disregard the true cultural meaning of the phrase in Latin countries, translate it literally and throw the book at Suarez. Cue complete vilification of Suarez by the press, media and his own fucking fans when actually there was never any racist intent in the first place. But, hey, we live in a world where over reaction is rife.

As for Man United being privately upset about Liverpool/Suarez speaking out then they should step outside the glass house first, especially that gobshite Ferguson whose sly arse way of manipulating the media and FA makes me sick. I hate the cunt with a passion and have fuck all respect for the man regardless of his undoubted ability as a manaqer. He's a horrible, horrible tiny minded vindictive cunt.

I couldnt agree more, and we should have had the FA investigating his Torres diver and Luis diver comments.

Thanks for that Sunny. I was beginning to think that nobody really knew alright. Hasnt stopped some people making assumptions though.

i just heard LouizSuarez has been charged by the FA for Racist language. looking for a scape goat in other to save JohnTerry's Ass. #niceone

One thing that does stink a little for me that, if Evra was so offended by these alleged comments, why did he not kick off in any shape or form during the game? No obvious words with Suarez or the referee....

Come on. A man that has through his whole life been harrased and stepped on, but somehow managed to work his way up against all odds. As a victim of abuse, he still managed to lead his nation in the proudest way during the world cup and have learned how to act with dignity. Such an integrity should not be questioned!

Evra did give out, he got booked along with Kuyt after the Saurez incident. I think. But didn't mention it to the referee at the time he was been booked.

I'd like to hear Mariner's and Dowd's version of events - not that there's any hope of that - given that Evra told Canal the ref definitely heard what had been said. And why the 20 minute wait until after the game? Surely Mariner and Dowd should have said to Evra: "Why are you only bringing this to us now?"

I'm sorry but this stinks and it didn't have legs until what happened with JT. Even ferguson after the game basically said it was just Evra who wanted to pursue the matter. I do not think for one minute that Suarez is a racist. He's sneaky and malicious, but as a forward who can't be seen to be booting a defender up in the air, he's using the tricks of the trade. In this case he's been naive and utd are surely using their influence to get the book thrown at him. Utd won't give a fuck if Terry gets off. The furore he's created gave them a golden opportunity to go after Suarez via the FA.

A few days ago the FA we're talking about the difficulties pursuing this because of the cultural connotations of a particular word alleged to have been used. If the charge is upheld the next time an opposing player gives Leiva or Aurelio a thumbs-up, then the club should be knocking on the FA's door to charge that player with obscene behaviour!!!

Incidentally, some utd fans are calling for Kenny to resign for continuing to support Suarez who is now, after all, a known racist.

Not alone that. The first thing he did after the match was to give an interview to French TV in which he brought up the racist allegations but stated that he didnt wish to make a big thing out of it.

Minutes later Ferguson is interviewed by Sky and accused Suarez of " Diving all over the place".

10/20 minutes later Ferguson accompanies Evra to the referees room to make an allegation that he was racially abused 10 times during the course of the match.

hmmm.....

I see that famous drug cheat Rio Ferdinandralone has got all upset again and he's doing that thing where he shoots people with his fingers and shouting BRAAP.

I'm blacker than him after a week in Skegness, can I start suing people now?

If you spent a week in Skegness you should have a fair greason for suing a lot of people? 😉

Fuck me, anyone who takes anything "some" Utd fans say seriously needs their head examining. Perhaps we'll send the head docs round to the FA then?

If the FA talk to the same experts the Telegraph has, then they wont have much of a case. Will be interesting to see if they do that. If not, and they fuck Suarez off with a guilty verdict you'd think he has an extremely good case for the civil courts.

suarez will definately fight this if found guilt because his reputation (such as it is) will be in tatters.

I know the utd fans are morons - I've had the misfortune of working with a number of them over the years. :-\ Just highlighting their batshit mentality in the face of such overwhelming non-existent evidence.

But Evra clearly has a whole world behind him in his fight for injsutice. Just as he had a whole generation of french footballers behind him in hs fight for injustice during world cup!

And I'm sorry too... oh look, this whole thing is making all so tense!!

I couldn't help myself and had a nose on redcafe, to get the views from the other side. I should have know better because based on what I've read Suarez should in fact be extradited to the Hague.

Redcafe? I hope you had an industrial strength shower after going on there. They really are scumbags.

I read about 3 posts of deluded nonsense and it was all I could stomach. Came straight off, gave my little girl a hug and made her go and put her home kit on.

The "Guardian" today says the club are looking at engaging "a top QC" to represent him at the FA hearing. Hope they get Grabiner after what he did to H and G's case in court.

I think the club and Suarez himself should take advice about possible further action whether or not the FA find Suarez guilty, and I think both the FA and ManUre should be in the frame.

The good thing about this is that Suarez will get a positive outcome one way or another. If it had continued to drift he would have had his reputation damaged without any proof.

You do know that this type of comment is not welcome in a lot of places around here? You could be seen to be in denial, and an Evra basher.
