The Suarez/Evra Racism Row

If Suarez's crime what he admitted - pinching Evra while calling him a black (and let's face it, he wasn't saying it in any sort of endearing way at all, he was sneering at him) and then admitting it - he should still be fined by the club and suspended for making everyone look a cunt. He's a fucking dope. He makes me want my fucking money back, the stupid fucking tit.

He didn't admit that at all. What are you talking about?

Great word use, has to be said.

I wonder if I'm the only one who has no idea what it means.

I don't know what it means either, although I think I've read it somewhere before. Does that count for anything?

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

Hold on, so if they now have footage of him saying those particular phrases then there is no poxy defence so why are people still defending it? He was on a wind up big time and it backfired monumentally and he got caught ....I don't get it lads really i dont... he seems bang to rights to me having read the tedious shit.

This isnt a conspiracy its a stupidracy.... its shit its really fucking shit.

get over it.

Mr Suarez said that he pinched Mr Evra's skin in an attempt to defuse the situation. He also said that his use of the word 'negro' to address Mr Evra was conciliatory and friendly

I mean - that is so retarded. He should have some bits of him amputated to teach him a thing or two. And you're all defending him.

Imagine telling a court you'd pinched someone to calm them down, never mind going on about their colour. It's just fucking daft.

And people wonder why Suarez evidence wasn't believed.

His evidence is so fucking stupid that it's beyond belief.

I keep finding myself agreeing with you Rosco..... weird.... but yeah....I'm sure when i'm being kicked pinched and tapped on the back of my head It would cheer me up no end to be called "negro" repeatedly by the man doing it.

It's cultural apparently....

The completely wankest defence of all time ever.

Take the ban make the apology and shut the fuck up. Dickheads all of em.

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

if we take it further it is going to damage the image of the club.
if it worth doing that to get the sentence reduced by at MOST 4 games?

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

He's guilty and racist, what are we still discussing????

On a serious note, I saw that RAWK has involuntarily added a 'Suarez is not racist' moniker to their subscriber's avatars.

Pure Nazi fuckin Germany that place.

What he actually said, was that he touched his forearm in a pinching motion, to get the point across that he was not untouchable. Evra didn't feel anything at the time. If he pinched his skin with the tips of his fingers/finger nails as you think, then that would hurt and you'd feel it. It was a "pinching motion". That could be done with all four fingers and the thumb. The FA disingenuously make it sound as though he pinched him. Hopefully the footage gets leaked soon.

And that is to diffuse the situation. Evra was aggressive and pissed off about the foul. If you then touch him and go look you're not untouchable.......that is a way to diffuse it with sarcasm. The say he shrugged his shoulders at that time also shows Suarez was quite calm and not going nuts. The FA have invented that he was animated/heated. Bullshit. Suarez was being a sarcastic cunt at most.

He didn't admit making any reference to his colour in the penalty area. That quote is misleading. They refer to two different incidents, not things done at the same time. When you pat someone on the head, that can be friendly or can be sarcastic. Just go look at the footage, Suarez was not sneering, he had that stupid sarcastic smile on his face. The only time he sneered was at the end when Evra pushed his arm off aggressively. Noone remember what they said to each other after that incident.

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

It is quite remarkable that you know exactly what happened, Dantes, and that it all strengthens Suarez's fucking awful case. If I didn't know better I'd see it as an clear case of extremely subjective confirmation bias.

The quote you gave was what mislead you, I was just trying to correct you. So forgive me if I don't put any faith in the clarity of what you see.

Its all in the notes, some people have read it....

Everything Dantes said there is exactly how Suarez stated it IN THE NOTES.

Some people just take the shit Evra said as fact and go on that alone, like you do for example.

Sky TV scoured the Match footage for ANYTHING to condem Suarez with and found FUCK ALL

Indeed....

The only way it can be sorted is to release the footage so we can all see for ourselves, otherwise many will be left believing that it is a stitch up. Regardless of the legality of it all, one mans word against another etc etc, if they have it on film then Suarez defence is as laughable as its tragic.

IF the club has seen the footage and he did say the things attributed to him in the report then there will be no appeal and i would hope there is an apology, prefferably of the effusive kind.

Dictionary Corner: "Attitudinise: assume affected attitudes" (Chambers Twentieth Century Dictionary).

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

I haven't read it in full, but I read the statements both side gave, and the 'judgment' the FA gave, and the evidence is ALL one mans word against anothers apart from the one statement Suarez admitted too, which he says was 'friendly'.

As I stated quite a few pages ago, the FA opened with "Luis Suarez is not a Racist" (Some people on this forum have said he is contrary to what the FA stated)

Evara stated "I don't believe Luis Suarez is a Racist"

Yet if he believed he was called N******r 7 or 8 times as he said in his statement, what the FUCK does it take to make some one Racist in his or the FA's eyes? say it 9 times? 100 times??

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

When you look at the final reasons, it is very important whether or not Marriner did or did not mention to Dalglish that Evra had complained "because you black". Dalglish said he didn't remember his saying that.

So why would Dalglish say that? 1. His memory failed him. 2. It was never said. 3. He lied.

Well his memory worked fine for all the rest of his evidence. So it's unlikely the only time he forgot something was for a crucial bit of information. So did he lie then? Well then he would have to be clever enough to see how important it was, figure that all out on the spot, and conclude that he should lie. Dalglish isn't that clever. In the middle of a hearing, I don't think even I could be aware of having to lie about that point it's something you could only figure out afterwards when you have time to sit down and review the entire case. So If I can't figure it out, Kenny had no chance. This is why I think that was never said at the time by Marriner.

Subjective confirmation bias? I think you just don't like how I think and that I invade the private thoughts of people and pick their brains apart. It's uncomfortable and not something that goes down well in court. But I don't care about your comfort.

You need to read it twice I'm afraid. Cos only once you have read the whole thing and know what it's about, only then the little phrases and strange arguments in the start and middle will make sense. And you'll be in a position to work out why they wrote what they wrote.

It's not a fact. It's a finding based on probability.

Re: The Suarez/Evra Racism Row (continued)

So Ross, is Suarez racist or not? You immediately replied when I said a response earlier on seems to imply you think he is, and yet here, you're not taking any issue with Woland & Larry both saying he is. Still convinced he's not racist?

[/quote]

It might or might not be jack... which is why we should have a look at it...

During the interview, the FA and Mr Evra watched some video footage of the match. Mr
Evra pointed out to the FA, by reference to the video footage, when it was during the
7
match that Mr Suarez made the comments about which Mr Evra had complained. This
information enabled the FA to ask broadcasters to provide video footage of what
appeared to be the key moments of the game, so far as Mr Evra's complaint was
concerned. This video footage was provided in due course. It contained material which
was not broadcast, including footage of the exchanges in the penalty area in the 63rd
minute taken from a number of different camera angles.

If they have seen the exchanges and fleshed out what was said from that then .... As i say, we've gotta see it.

I just doubt very much that the FA would make such a fuss of it without evidence which doesnt come from the players involved. I hope its a massive fucking conspiracy i really do i just dont think it will be.

On a side note if we do not appeal and accept the ruling but wait for our best moment to take the ban etc...

IF the footage shows that Suarez said those things and that Evra was abused we should show a bit of class apologise and take the ban straight away, not when it is convenient but straight away, because to defend that if true is fucking woeful.
