I really hope to find out that a group of manc pranksters was behind this. Because if it's Liverpool fans, it would be a shame and disgrace. Stooping down to manc level, but argueably even worse because it's directed at a far better manager than Moyes, one who put his loyalty and his whole heart into this club. And for those who didn't like the "Rafa In" part but would have been OK with "Klopp In", do you think this kind of disrespect to the current manager would endear us the future one? I would not want to work at a club where after one disappointing season fans fly airplane banners demanding your sacking. Liverpool way my ass. Please tell me these were mancs.

It was done by a troll account on Twitter. But i suspect some of our own whoppers have been taken in by these pranksters and contributed towards the cost.

Can't say I agree. It was nothing to do with Rafa so there was no reason for the sarcastic comment, given that he's chipped away at Benitez in the past. Best say nothing at all about it.

@RodgersOutClub... The accusation that we are Man United fans is pathetic. Why would they want Rodgers out? He's helping them qualify for the Champions League.

This is a very low point. I have been pushing my manc "friends" to the very limit With the flight story and now we do this shot ourselves.... I am ashamed.

Unless Napoli win the Europa League, they'll be out of the CL too ... So why Rafa then considering how much he's spent on a top 3 team to take them to 4th ... Just saying.

I like Rafa a lot but he hasn't really proved himself since he left really. I admit for the big games there is no one better. If Rogers goes id like to see a manager like De Boer or Klopp or even Simeone. These are managers who work with potential and turn them into very good players.

So the mystery account that claims it did it, now says they're not Mancs. Oh yeah, let's all believe either version.

If the person who runs that Twitter account is so hell bent on getting heard, let him bring a banner to a game with exactly that on it. My guess is a) he doesn't go to games and b) the banner would be destroyed by the fans.

I'm still not convinced that the person behind this is a Liverpool fan myself. All this anonymity.

I think Rodgers paid for it, he's trying to create a siege mentality so we can finish 5th.

I took my young nephew to his first game on Saturday. I was so proud to take him on the Kop, explaining to him that he's no longer just a fan but a supporter now and part of the best group in the world.
He felt about 10ft tall as I spoke to him on what it means and is expected of a Liverpool supporter and what separates us from other teams . Then he pointed up to the sky as the plane appeared.
I have to say I was embarrassed, and a bit lost for words.
He read back to me what the banner said.....saw the reaction around him, thought about it, then said "why is that plane from Manchester talking about Liverpool "?
Good lad.

Sadly not a Manc that carried out this stunt..

Confirmed Liverpool Supporters..

'AirAds, the company which hired out the plane, said on Twitter that it was funded by Liverpool season-ticket holders'.

Did AirAids demand to be shown a season ticket before taking the job on?

I assume you did that on purpose.. 😀

I doubt it.. but looking at the twiiter trail they are adamant it was not Manchester UTD supporters.. even the pilot has come out and said so..

@BBCSport I flew the banner today over Anfield. It wasn’t organised by Man UTD, or by the so called ‘RodgersOutClub’.

@BigAlSimmo @Lewis_Luger @KopBlock205 @BBCSport can’t release the names of customers. However Paddy Power isn’t one of them.

AirAds – the company the plane belonged to – has suggested that it was our own fans that paid for the protest.

@Ab_Rafe no it was funded by Liverpool season ticket holders

Mad how they chose the exact same company as the one that flew over the mancs last season.

I reckon it was either mancs or just a publicity stunt.

It been confirmed it is not Mancs.. Your are in Denial.. 😵

I think AirAds are the only company in the Manchester/ Liverpool region who do Banners

(when I do a search on google they are the only company that come up)
