Rafa and Mourinho renew their rivalry this weekend, but this time around they are only seeking to outlast him.

Newcastle are having a historically bad first quarter to the season and we all know the mess that is United.

Is Warnock under pressure yet ?

I would be very nice if Rafa could get that impoverished malnourished team of his to beat United this weekend...

Certainly, they've had a horrifically difficult opening set of fixtures, narrow defeats against Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, and City the fixture computer was downright evil to them.

You never know seeing as they've got an easier opponent this week... fingers crossed...

Benitez has got a large amount of fan goodwill, and also Ashley as a more obvious target.

Safe for a while yet. Warnock on the other hand......

Warnock if sacked could go to Villa

I'd be very, very surprised. First of all, they'd have to wait until Warnock did get sacked. And they won't do that.

Secondly, Purssssslow will want a "young, dynamic" manager that gets the fans excited (and the new owners), which is why Rodgers and the bloke from Brentford are favourites.

Thirdly, given you've suggested it as a possibility, it is almost statistically impossible to be correct.

I think Ashley knows that if he sacks Rafa, whatever the results, then he's admitted defeat in relegation. I'm not sure who could do more with that squad to get them out of the shit, that would go there. So I don't think he'd sack him.
Utd will have to pay a fortune to get rid of mourinho, so I think they'd even be willing to accept a non top 4-6 finish. It's the fans that are getting antsy, the club dont seem arsed as the money is rolling in.
If Southampton or West Ham go on a bad run I could see their owners pulling the trigger quite quickly though.

I think there's a good chance Mark Hughes might go.
Are contractually obliged to sell Ings for the reputed £20m even though he could bag 15 or more goals this season?

He's just signed a new contract, given it's for 5 years, unless they plan on keeping him for that length of time, they are going to have to pay a lot regardless !

Yep. Equally so if he breaks his leg in four places this weekend though, so it works both ways.

I think most people would have snapped their hand off for 20m.

Neil Warnock is promotional specialist, and he usually knows how to escape relegation.
He is a promotional specialist but he normally brings the team straight back down. Has he ever lasted longer than a season in the premiership?

Silly sod has already said he prefers championship to PL. Well fuck off then (sorry).
