I respectfully disagree. Gomez is a huge upgrade imo and crucially when it comes to covering that right side Trent loves to vacate has pace to burn.

In terms of attacking chance no. I mean more in terms of retaining possession and tiring out their players for a second half assault.
When Nunez was up front nothing seemed to stick and we turned over the ball a lot by him making the wrong choice over and over.

You know what I think is more exhausting than watching the opposition pass it along their back line, send it to an isolated Salah, who loses it, bounces it off Diaz who isn't built for hold up play, and largely forgets Gakpo exists? A forward line who is threatening to fuck you constantly.
Just don’t like to see us lose games whatever the competition / but yes, some are more important than others.
So, on reflection, I probably overreacted and went in a bit harder and aggressive than I should have.
I wouldn’t have been totally against having the opportunity to really fuck City and their season up, by removing what could be very well be their last chance of silverware and possibly their best route back into Europe - but that’s just me wanting to see them properly crushed.
Gomez is miles better than Quansah. Endo isn't a defender and, if he finds himself there in your team, you're fucked.

All valid points. Isak would be nice like but I’m not sure we have a better set up with the players available. I don’t think Nunez is the answer and Jota is always injured.
And that a perfectly reasonably position and of course knocking City out of anything is nice but also on the flip getting beaten by them while risking our players and adding a tough game to the already chocka block schedule would not have been optimal in our run at the league imo.

To overcome the 7 points & +7 goals difference :
If we go W7 D3 L3 (only ca. 50% of our remaining matches) then Arsenal need to win a minimum of 10 matches : e.g W10-1-2 and a better GD.
If we go W7 D4 L2 then Arsenal need at least W10-2-1 and a better GD
If we go W8 D2 L3 then Arsenal need W11-0-2 or W10 D3 L0 and a better GD
If we go W8 D4 L1 then Arsenal need W11-2-0 and a better GD.
For the record (with extra pressure from the CL and cups) I can see us going something like AT WORST : W7 D4 L2 (assuming a home loss to Arsenal - even though I don't see it) which would mean Arsenal need W10 D2 L1 and a better GD.
We have scored 8 goals more than anyone else in the PL (us 60, City 52, Arsenal 51) and only Arsenal have conceded less (22 to our 24 with the next closest being Forest and Bournemouth on 29).
FWIW we are now between 2/7 and 2/9 on to win (strengthened a tad after the last 2 games) and Arsenal between 3/1 and 10/3 (also a tad stronger).
For OPTA it's only us and Arsenal and no-one else has any chance at all now. We are 87.7% and Arsenal 12.3%.
