The not so Official January Transfer Rumour Thread

He started off well for us. It was never entirely clear to me why it all went to sh!te with him.

Did it really?

Other young players that end up being depended on too early seem to get some slack - "just overplayed", "he's only 21", etc.

Insua apparently just became shit.

Well, it took a while, but he looked pretty poor to me by the end. Funnily enough I thought there were promising signs again when he came back briefly, but the club obv.didn't agree.

I always had a soft spot for him as well, he was pretty dire before he left though. Scored a great volley in the cup though.

Liverpool could snap up Tottenham's Alex Pritchard

Tottenham face a fight to hang on to talented youngster Alex Pritchard, who is the subject of interest from Liverpool.
Pritchard has caught the eye in Spurs’ development matches this year, notably in their remarkable 4-1 win at Barcelona in the NextGen Series, but has yet to break into Andre Villas-Boas’ first-team squad.
Pritchard turns 20 in May and with his contract running down, the attacking midfielder is weighing up his options. Alex Inglethorpe, who coached Spurs’ junior sides during six years at White Hart Lane, is now reserve team coach at Liverpool and retains an interest in Pritchard.
Pritchard will be offered a new deal but Standard Sport understands he is undecided about his future. Should he choose to leave, Spurs would be entitled to compensation because they have developed the player.
If the clubs could not agree on a fee, an independent tribunal would determine the sum for Pritchard. Meanwhile, Villas-Boas is reluctant to allow youngsters Andros Townsend and Tom Carroll to leave on loan this month and the pair could be involved in Sunday’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at Leeds.

I think it's one of the pitfalls of throwing youngsters in out of necessity. In a high profile team, every error is scrutinized and the pressure is often too much for them. We're lucky Sterling has dealt so well with it really.

I watched a couple of games in last year's Europa League and I was very impressed.

Fuck knows if he'd be able to cut it here now, but he was ever-so-slightly beastly for Sporting in the matches I saw.

Never heard of the guy myself but I'm just posting random bollocks in this thread until we make a massive super signing.

I don't know who that Paddy guy is or this Billy Big Bollocks chap is. I thought the latter was Brendan.

Happy to send you a picture of myself.

There was a poster who returned after a time off the board with tales of money and women and how wonderful his life was.

He was obnoxious as fuck.

That wasn't you was it ?
