Liverpool target Mexico goalkeeper as Reina replacement

Liverpool have heightened speculation over the future of Pepe Reina by lining up a £5m move for Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
Barcelona have made Reina one of their main summer transfer targets and Liverpool are preparing for life without the Spaniard by firming up their interest in Ochoa.
The 27-year-old started out at Club America and moved to French side Ajaccio in 2011.
He missed just one league match last season as Ajaccio, who had secured promotion to the top flight in 2011, successfully avoided relegation.
The 32-time Mexico international has been an ever-present this term and his displays have alerted Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers, who is ready to sanction a move if Reina moves back to the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

Liverpool are bracing themselves for a bid for Pepe Reina as Barcelona hunt for a replacement for Victor Valdes.
Goalkeeper Valdes has stunned the club by informing them he won’t extend his contract, which expires in 18 months’ time, and they are now targeting Reina.
The 30-year-old, who has been the first-choice goalkeeper at Anfield since moving to Merseyside in 2005, has seen speculation surround his future in recent months following an alarming dip in form.
However, this hasn’t deterred the La Liga side, who feel his distribution abilities and skill on the ball are a perfect fit for their style.
The 30-year-old started out at Barcelona before switching to Villarreal and the 2011 European champions are now considering bringing him back to Catalonia.
