In recent weeks, Barcelona has been approached by numerous clubs asking about Dutch midfielder Ibrahim Afellay's situation at the club.

According to Catalan public television channel TV3, a few days ago French club Lille offered €7m for the player. More recently, Italian club Lazio has joined the group of clubs interested in the Dutchman and has telephoned Barcelona to negotiate a possible loan deal.

According to "Il Corriere dello Sport", Lazio would be particularly interested in the Dutch international, who has barely played this season at Barcelona, if Mauro Zárate leaves the club for Turkish side Galatasaray.

Liverpool continue to monitor Swansea winger Scott Sinclair, who is stalling over a new deal.

Tottenham, Aston Villa and Fulham are also interested in the England youth international, who enjoyed a stellar campaign back in the Premier League.

Sinclair came through the ranks at Chelsea but barely made an impact at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old spent time on loan at Wigan before joining Brendan Rodgers at the Liberty Stadium.

The £6million-rated winger has only 14 months left on his deal and is expected to resume talks over a new contract in the next week.

Last week chairman Huw Jenkins issued Sinclair with an ultimatum.

He said: 'With Scott being a first-team regular we need a decision one way or the other as soon as possible so the manager can be clear in his mind on where the team goes and make sure the squad is right for August.'

Ryan, percentages please:

Jovetic?

Sinclair?

Adam Johnson?

Gaston Ramirez?

Xabi Alonso?

Fabio, much as I'd love to do something about those nailed on percentages, I can't.

The ohareometer does not lie.

More's the pity.

18% is one of the highest I've seen from the ohareometer

The 40%+ one for Sigurdsson shows a level of knowledge of the transfer, unheard of before in ohareometer. It makes me think you and him are the same person

I'm like the Ba for 7M rumours. He is quality!

Demba Bargain: Liverpool eye Toon star who'd only cost £7m

By Darren Lewis |
Brendan Rodgers is considering a move for £7million hitman Demba Ba.

The Newcastle striker is available at that knockdown price until July 31 because of a clause in his contract.

After that date, clubs would have to pay the 27-year-old's full market value.

Ba hit 15 goals last season, before heading off on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Senegal.

His scoring touch dried up when he returned, although he was pushed out to a wide position to accommodate the January signing of his international team-mate Papiss Cisse.

Rodgers is likely to face competition for Ba's signature, with Tottenham also interested.

Someone on here rates him though, can't remember who, Pesam or Doc Mac ?
To be honest I don't know him at all. Perhaps he's decent enough.

I just can't see us go for a 27-year-old from the rather decimated Scottish League no matter how free he may be. Saying that I was also well against us going for Jelavic and he has admittedly looked a good buy for Everton so far.

Still don't think we should've gone for him mind as he's no where near the class of Carroll and Suarez and with his age in mind he probably wants to play most weeks.

Andy Carroll targeted by AC Milan transfer guru, Pier Silvio Berlusconi
Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has been identified as a transfer target by the son of AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, who has urged his father to pull off the shock signing of the summer.

Italian media mogul Pier Silvio Berlusconi, who is the president of Mediaset - the holding company that owns AC Milan - has acted as a consultant on the Rossoneri's transfer business in recent years, as the club seek to replace their ageing stars with a new wave of young talent.
Milan have continued their squad overhaul this summer with the likes of Filippo Inzaghi, 38, Clarence Seedorf, 36, Mark van Bommel, 35, and Gennaro Gattuso, 34, all leaving the San Siro on free transfers.
However, while a selection of legendary stars have already left, Milan are yet to splash the cash on any big name replacements, instead favouring the likes of Riccardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traore, who have both arrived on free transfers.
Yet Berlusconi Jr. believes Milan should get the cheque book out this summer, and start with a deal for Liverpool's £35 million powerhouse Carroll, who impressed for England at Euro 2012.
'This is a new era for Milan. We will continue to get younger while maintaining the culture. Milan still has its superstars. As a future target I'd like Andy Carroll,' Pier Silvio Berlusconi announced.
'I must admit that for his body build, and after seeing his header in the Euros, I would like to have ‪Carroll‬ at ‪Milan‬.'
The news is unlikely to win favour with many Milan fans, with Carroll's infamous, powerful, aggressive approach a far cry from the technical, stylish football the club love to play.
Indeed, one fan took to Twitter to vent his frustration simply tweeting: 'Carroll to Milan? Is he mad?'
Liverpool fans were more sympathetic though, with one adding: 'I'd bite their hand off!'
