The Merseyside Derby

I’d like to think that Klopp will have the same ruthlessness with his own signings as he did with those from Rodgers.
Well he doe, i mean how many managers sign a player for 40M, and keep them training until the new year and then if they are lucky he says...alright you are ready and fit for this team.

Naby Keita is not my fave Liverpool signing,he might have had the odd game when he played well but he is not a Liverpool player,I know I'll probably get hate mail and someone threatening to burn my house down with my wife and kids in it,but,he's just not all that good, sorry,he just isn't,and anyway,I'm not married 😛

No get what you are saying...It's a weird one, I have a feeling that it is not looking good for Keita. Biggest thing that bugs me is that he is a defensive mid yet he gets bundled off the ball and falls over more often than he should. Needs to work on balance and strengthen up when in those 50/50 challenges. What I like about Fabinho is that he goes on for those against the odds 80/20 challenges and still wins the ball sometimes. Work on his strength and I think he could be a different player. I think klopp will persist with Keita because there is raw potential but the clock is ticking.

Ox was better when he was injured.
Keita is just not going to work out unless he can get rid of all these small injuries.
Lallana is done.

In short, we need a new attacking midfielder, in addition to a forward of quality.

Get that Ajax lad first.

Jack Grealish

AM is definitely the most obvious role to look to fill in the transfer market. 17/18 Ox was superb there at times and on fleeting occasions it looked like Shaq might grow into the role but we could do with either getting someone who can immediately step into that role of finding a progressed prospect to grow into it. Seeing lots of chat on twitter about Cantwell, although I worry he is a bit lightweight. I can't see Grealish leaving Villa, it is too much of his DNA/

It is a huge step for Cantwell? He is young and look like a real gem, but going from a handful of PL games to the defending CL team is a big jump in the career?

Cantwell has looked very promising from what I’ve seen of him

All players at non-trophy winning sides outgrow them. He's no different and will be on his way sooner or later.

Any ideas on what the team will be? The usual?

I watched quite a bit of Everton's game, and while they were a bit unlucky, they were sooooo defensive and were trying to babysit the fucking Tin Man Keane, who makes Dirk Kuyt look like Rudolph Nuryev. He'll be fucking terrified with Salah and Mane running at him.

And Tom Davies is fucking shit. Gave the ball way for both goals with sloppy passes. We should be all over that bellend.

After months of trying to get out of a meeting in Canary Wharf I fucking can’t. So I’ll be leaving there at 3:30 and hope I’m home by 8 to watch this.

We need to destroy these bitter knuckle draggers. The renditions of merry Christmas Everton is one of our best songs and thanks @manwithnoname for reminding me we have it.

Its a derby so Everton will find an extra boost of speed and a little more crunch in their tackles...

... But I still don't see them as a major threat (or course in the PL any one can beat anyone else on the right day).

Everton are crap this year, this is a perfect time to rest a couple of players... Even if it is the derby. Don't go overboard, don't get complacent... But if Salah isn't 100% fit, don't play him, etc.

The one area I would not rest players though is defense.

With Becker suspended we need all the help we can get at the back. That means play our strongest four at the back... No resting players there.

They've got nobody in the midfield who can tackle. Or actually run.

Sigursdsson, Davies, Schneiderlin.

If we can't beat a team with that CM trio, we need fucking shooting.

I think it's a dirty 2-1 win because that's all we seem to be doing recently and fair enough if it works.

I'm gonna miss at least the first half having taken up a third job (oops) so free time is nonexistent right now.

Hope Divock comes on for the big derby occasion but I'd rather smash the fuck out of them 9-0

Oh do fuck off. We’re not winning this one. They’ll lump shit out of us and we’ll get nothing.

Probably busy all week by drawing shit lines he can use

Everton will massively raise their game and dig in as usual for this. If we get an early game they're done for as they are garbage going forward, but, they may be able to defend for their lives for 90mins. I'm expecting a replay of last year, a million shots, no luck, and needing a wondergoal/fluke.

Adrian
TAA Lovren VVD Robbo
Gini Hendo Milner
Salah Firmino Mane

Would be my guess. There is a case of getting Gomez in for Lovren as Big Deeeejan cant stay fit for more than 6 games at the time...

My guess is Ox or Lallana gets the nod as we need some creativity in the mid.
