The Italian stallion

He can also play anywhere in attack and has that type of dynamic and energetic playing style that would be a great option to have of the bench.
Was thinking of how Arsenal have been using Trossard for that extra type of quality off the bench.
Chiesa could be that player. Creating chances and having a good goal record.
Agree. Could be used like Troussard but more two-footed.

That would fit with what my cousin told me in another message. Apparently some rumours have him favouring Barcelona over us whereas some are the other way round.

The Barca link seems a weird one given that they could only register Olmo now that Christiansen got injured. They're not in a good spot to sign more players.

Where does young Elliott get minutes if we sign Chiesa? I know he's not a great fit to cover Mo but he's not getting many minutes as our no10 either. Maybe with all the European games that'll change, it's early days.

apparently barcelona are trying to negotiate some 10 year deal with nike and if they get it done they’ll be capable of making some more moves

so yea he could well stand us up also if we drag it out

Sorry, no apols.for including Paletta who had an Italian passport because of his Italian ancestry.

The others may or may not have been as good as Chiesa at his best, but the point is that we thought at the time they were good enough for us.
So you're saying we were shite at that time. Seems about right.

Well, we quite often were, but really that's incidental to the main point, namely that none of these guys were poor players or regarded as such before we signed them.

Look, if Chiesa does come I'll get behind him as I would any other signing and I'd love it if he's the first Italian player to make it at LFC, but he *will* be the first if that happens.

Interesting side detail. According to the "Echo" Richard Hughes grew up in Italy, spent some years at Atalanta's academy and follows Serie A closely. Who knew?
