The Italian stallion

Hes got obvious technique for shooting.

You know, it's weird, but for some reason I feel like that isn't something that players are better at now than they used to be. Like that low finish the other day. There a lot more smashing and a lot less clean simple boring finishing like an Owen.
I was saying that, I have not seen a finish like that in ages, slow accurate ball on the ground no flight...it was beautiful

I really don't like the way he runs / moves. Something off about it
He is missing that intensity that exists in all our other players, you cant really see him trying to recover a ball, amd he seems to wait to be given the ball.

Double post.

I didn't expect us to win last night after seeing the squad - but I'm fine with that and I'm sure none of the first team give a monkeys.

Major major plus was Chiesa not only looking full of energy for the full 90 mins but looking dangerous, tricky and clearly MotM. I can't wait to see him in action in the PL especially given he can play anywhere across the front at LW, RW or CF. I think he's going to be great.

Is it just me that thinks that his fitness levels are still well off.
I don't think that he would be capable of more that half an hour in the Premier league.
/he seems to have lost some of his pace as well.
It's a shame because if he got his speed back he would have great potential.

He's certainly not fully fit yet, and he's definitely lost a yard. Whether that's down to him not being fully fit, or playing within himself due to fear of injury, I don't know.

I think there's a lot to still be optimistic about. His shooting technique seems as decent as ever

I don’t think that hunched, scrambling gait is a new thing for Fede…all I know is he lasted 90 mins despite a couple of hefty knocks last night, and still looked the most aggressive presser on the pitch until the end.

And pretty much every shot he takes (and there’s a good few) is on target.

He’ll prove very useful as things get itchy in coming months.

I was saying the other day that I thought that shot technique had atrophied in world football.

We are now all agog over a performance where someone hits it cleanly, hard, mostly at the keeper. I'm not having a go at chiesa. He will score goals, if he plays.

But doesn't this prove the point a bit? Is it just me? Like ooh, a forward who can shoot properly from central positions.

This is the environment within which isak is a remarkable footballer, when he's just good.

100% man, I love when he shoots. It's almost always on target, and it is rare.

I don't know whether it's his looks, his kinda hunched over posture or what but he just looks old as fuck to me and it messes with my head.

It's proper weird, like when they made De Niro etc. young in The Irishman but their bodies still moved like 75-year olds
