This thread is so big, I can't remember who has said what now, but there has been a fair amount of arguing that Alonso is practically redundant, doesn't contribute that much etc. You can't go on like that and then say, oh but he's amazing and of course I'd love him to stay.
I mean, way to cover all bases, right?
If he goes and we buy well, "I was right because I said he didn't do all that much and look, here we are all fine" or if he goes and we miss him, well, "I said he was a top player and I didn't want him to leave".

I think ive made my position quite clear. I'd be much happier to start the season as we are now than Xabi out and anyone else in. Id prefer the situation to remain as is.
I dont think that excludes me from having a say on what i think should happen if he goes.
My point regarding his limitations have nothing (certainly for me) to do with my thoughts on him staying or going. I dont see it as the end of the world if he goes and i think he can be replaced, ANYONE can. Doesnt mean we have to like it.
