I was probably reading too much into it given the context of his position at the club at the moment. But he was one of the last ones to leave the pitch, and he stood around longer than most waving at the crowd.
Like I said, I could just be reading too much into it. But interesting that it's been mentioned in the Gaurdian too.

You are reading too much into it, he came out pretty much last walked around the pitch with Gerrard and both were at the end of the line of players and staff walking round the pitch then Xabi waved a little more than Gerrard thats about it.
