I can't answer that but if xabi does want out then the saying 'careful what you wish for' is apt for rafa after trying to get rid last season.

Alonso is going to stay, but I have a feeling Barry may still come, to give us Mascher, Alonso, Barry and Lucas going for two midfield positions. Couldn't really complain with that.

I think it's important we ignore these actual quotes, and focus on the ones that came from a friend of an agent through a journalist at the News of the World.

There's a really good opportunity to add 2 and 2 here, and come up with 'Rafa is a big massive cunt!'

This is going to be one of the most repetitive threads ever seen in SCM, and I for one might not torture myself with it over the summer. It wouldn't matter is Xabi came out and said he is happy, until the transfer window ends there are people that will bang on about what they have heard until they are proven right one way or the other. All I will say is that after Torres and Gerrard, if there is a player I want to keep at this club it is Alonso. I hope all of these stories turn out to be nothing but the bigggest load of BS.

Is it true Xabi stayed behind to wave goodbye to the supporters yesterday? Those quotes from Rafa do worry me, as they really make it seem like Xabi's agent told him he wants to leave, and that he then leaked it to the press.

I'm sad. I guess Xabi has bottled up his anger all this time and is now getting his revenge on Rafa. I find it hard to believe he'll really be happier at Real though, especially given Basque hatred of that club. I hope he's not making a decision he (and we) will regret.
