I agree SG.

Re FFF: he's won everything there is to won really and if there was a player thick enough to do that, it's Rooney
That would be stunning in a good way (wanting to go and play for the team you always supported), but also completely stupid.

Having looked through a few Utd forums all I can say is what a bunch of hypocrites.

"Never liked him anyway"

"Should never have tried to build a team with him in it"

"Not good enough"

Loads more, but one poster happened to point out the reaction of Gerrard's almost exit and they all tell him to fuck off. Laughable really.

He'll go wherever offers the most money i.e. City. I must be getting soft in my old age, I actually felt a bit sorry for old Taggart there. Latest in a long line of people fucked over by Rooney.

the weird thing is that ferguson's statement makes it clear that rooney's decision basically came out of the blue, with no obvious catalyst such as personal problems or a fall-out with the manager, so the only conclusion is that it's purely about money. i just find that incredible. you're a multi-multi-millionaire, raking in what - £10m a year? - and your primary concern is still ekeing out every last bit of cash from your career at the expense of everything else, medals, loyalty, personal reputation: it's completely baffling. i could just about understand this in, say, fowler's day, when we were talking about £50k a week instead of £25k - i can see that that money would at least make a difference to his lifestlye, luxurious though it already was. but what's rooney going to get from £250k a week that he couldn't get from £150k a week?

£150k a week over 5 years is £39m. that sort of deal would still leave him with a fortune of around £100m when he retires, and yet you still hear people semi-justifying his behaviour in the media 'well, this could be last big contract - so he's got to make sure it's right!' why? wtf is he planning?! there's absolutely no justification for him to be prioritising money, he's a fucking disgrace.

Just watched the Ferguson interview. First impressions:

A calculated move by Ferguson. Get in first, offer despondency and disappointment, say the door's still open, we've done everythng by him, can't understand why he wants out blah blah blah... Right down to him not answering a single question from the journos. Why? Because the whole script, MUTV interview, and soliloquay was played out to perfection. Journos would only pick hols in his flawless effort.

Fucking clever stuff.

The ball is firmly in Rooney's court now. Nobody can now ask or accuse Fergie of destorying this. What happens to whether Rooney stays? Not Ferguson's decision. what happens to whether Rooney wants to play? The onus not on Fergie either. Even if Ferguson doesnt play him, he can cite his head being turned or whatveer and get away with it no problem.

The message boards, the forums, my fucking Manc cunt mates in the street and on facebook have all turned on Rooney big style. It's 1-0 to Ferguson. Over to you Wayne, you pigshit thick cunt.

Yeah but it's true, fergies simply acted this one out, & completely out played Rooney.

As well as doing that he's been careful to stress it was personal problems that led to this, despite everyone knowing it is, thus taking some of the attention from that sleaziness.

Yeah I thought Fergie was fair when he said he'd asked him to not show disrespect to the club, and then went on to say 'I'm not if you can say that he hasn't'.

I hate the fucker but he's played it spot on so far.

PS, why are the papers refusing to rule us out of the running? Apparently there are reports that if FR comes in Rooney would consider us.

Erm.. 'fat' chance.

Ha!

Ryan, it won't seem like such a stunning tactical victory if Rooney ends up leaving Utd for fuck-all money.
It won't happen though will it, they've more or less forced his hand first and got their say in. He'll be gone in January.

I know, I know, I was kind of hoping someone would talk it up and tell me that 'Mark' said he'd heard something.... I fall for it everytime 🙂

Who's FR?
Frank Rijkaard

Hahahaha! Ryan's interview analysis is accurate, and certainly he's firmly nailed Rooney's nuts to the floor, but if he does really want to keep Shrek, he hasn't left himself much wriggle room has he?

It would take a monumentally humble climbdown from Rooney now, and I wonder if it's possible.

As for thinking that a move to Shitty would be absurd, and require a brass neck of epic proportions (plus United willing to sell to them) I still think it's unlikely, but reading how this has all exploded, nothing would surprise me anymore, but why risk your legacy and history at a club where you've won everything with a move that would make you Cunt Number One?

He's thick, but is he *that* thick?

It would probably make him *the* most hated player in English football (if he isn't already)

Going to Citeh that is

Well he did manage to do as much as possible to get on the tits of Evertonians after his move to Utd, and that ungracious sniping at Moyes that ended up in court makes me think he's capable of just about anything. That said, my instinct is he wants out of the English goldfish bowl.

Depends on how well he can adapt to the language I guess.

Let's give him a head start

"Hola, estoy buscando un geriátrico prostituta"

Even though he's a blueshite manc twat I'd sign him. We'd win the leauge with him in our team.
That said, it won't happen and he'll probably move to Spain.

The papers today say that bids are expected between 20-35 mill £.

And of course they're saying that Utd want Torres as his replacement.

No we wouldnt. Far too much shite included in our other 10 players

Maybe Rooney can see the writing on the wall: Citeh will shortly be top dogs in Manchester as it's only a matter of time before they win the League, and he can cash in to the tune of 220k a week.

I don't think the words honour, legacy or ethics are in Wayne's dictionary, he joins the richest club in the world, has his pockets filled with gold and his agent gets a whopping bonus. Done deal.

Anyone who thinks we would sign Rooney (purely on financial terms) or that he would come to us (purely on him being a horrible Manc/bitter) is fucking mad.

Yep. People who thing we will get Wayne Rooney or deluding themselves.

The wages he wants and commands are up in the stratosphere. There is no way our club is capable of paying that much. We shouldn't too.

I'd rather we had a squad full of good players earning 70 to 90k, than stuff our faces with Super Stars who have already made their name and don't have the desire to play at a top level any more.

I'd happily take Dzeko on 90k a week over Rooney on 200K a week any day.
