So then we've got Portsmouth, Lille and then the Scum coming up this week. How are we going to go?

3 wins out of 3 and we'd be looking good for a trophy and the race for 4th place might just be back on.

I'm opting for 1 win and 1 draw in the league + qualification in the UEFA cup.

During this period Villa have Wigan away and Wolves at home. Spurs are away to Stoke. City away to Fulham.
 
I got one of those Facebook fucking reminders that we were facing the Scum this week.

Few messages haev depressed me as much.

Haven't we beat the Mancs back-to-back for quite some time now?

They'll be the ones dreading that fixture the most.
 
if we lose tonight we'll get hammered by lille but probably beat the scum 6-2 or something ridiculous. Then everyone will pretend we have a world class team again and say Rafa is the man to challenge for the league again next year......or some similar bollox!!

Not even Yeovil town would dread a fixture against us this season!

I doubt it.
 
We'll probably keep Rooney quiet and concede a set-piece or penalty or something, not confident about keeping a clean sheet up there. Will need at least a goal to get something out of it.

I think we've got a decent chance personally mate (Don't forget that Vidics fit again!)

I mean we've enjoyed having the upper-hand on them for quite some time now and after all they've got more to lose than us (sadly).

Vidic will be twisting and turning in his bed and won't close an eye up to this game preparing himself for the worst. Torres has got a great habbit of tearing him a new one these days.

I'd say they are licking their lips at the chance to gain revenge for their humiliation at home last season and also putting an end to our chances of a champions league spot.

That said for some reason I fancy us to get a result.

I am really looking forward to seeing how Vidic gets on with Torres.
He'll really need to step up and give a solid performance. I expect him to hit Torres hard in the first 5 minutes.
I am probably feeling so negative about the game on Sunday as a protective measure and if it turns out we get something from the game I will be pleasantly surprised.
 
I think all 3 are going to be a challenge, part of me wouldn't be too upset though if we lost both tonight and thursday as long as we won Sunday, because by then Rafa would have had to have been given the boot.
 
We have to win tonight. End off.

Lille on thursday, we should win but going out of Europe is the least of our worries.

I'd settle for a point at OT, and we could manage that if Rafa gets the team and tactics right. This season we have played better against good opposition. So, maybe, just maybe we can actually turn up on sunday.

If we play alright against Pompey and Lille, then we might have some confidence on sunday. Utd aren't playing extremely well, but are scoring on every chance they have thanks to Rooney.

If we're going to take a point there, we have to score away which we havent done for 5-6 matches....

I hope your Ma takes a drink as well Ross.
 
I can't see any reason to be optimistic about these games. We will struggle against Portsmouth, they will score at least one goal, same with Lille. Then Man U will bend us over.
