All I have to say about this match was that Diego Milito's goal was world class.

Through on goal, many defenders breathing down his neck ... keeper comes out... and he has the nerve to fake a shot and then smash it home.

CLASS.

Milito, Eto'o , Pandev, Motta, Sneidjer - Inter sure had an inspiring transfer season last summer in terms of improving the quality of first team and the squad.
They sold Ibrahimovic for 40m plus Eto'o, 25m was spent on Motta and Milito both from Genoa, Pandev was free and Sneijder cost 15m.

Did they sign anyone else or did they dramatically improve their team while having a zero net spend ?

Spidey - THEY HAD TO SELL TO BUY - HOW CAN ANYONE BE EXPECTED TO COMPETE LIKE THAT ?
They also bought 'the seal' Kerlon but loaned him out to Ajax, the lad City wanted Mariga but he couldn't get a UK work permit, and Lucio.
Not too sure about the price and quality of Kerlon and Mariga, but Lucio was another great purchase for inter. I dont remember the exact price but it was in the 5 to 7 million category.
Yeah I was looking for an exact fee myself but it seemed to be undisclosed but newspapers and websites quoted around your figure...super buy.

IMO Lucio was an OK but not spectacularly good CB at the time. His defending could be iffy here and there, and he wasn't underpriced at 5 to 7 mill. It's Mourinho who's turned him into as good a CB as any around.

so come on ros, how could rafa have landed eto'o?
The reason I listed all those buys was not to bash Rafa, Spidey. In fact I am as pro-Rafa as you. I was just acknowledging the astonishing transfer season Inter and Jose had. It may be a one off and he may not be able reproduce it elsewhere due to various circumstances. But that should not take anything away from the way he transformed the squad from one of the best in Italy to one of the best in Europe.

I know you weren't but ros was. 'oh fucking hell, barca wanted to offload eto'o and give them zlatan into the bargain, genius!!' ANYONE would have snatched barca's arm off.

Way to completely miss the point Spidey.

Don't really care who wins. I'll be watching with the freedom of being a neutral, a billion times better than watching the hell that is United or Chelsea in the final.

I think Inter will win, with an element of control, although it will be a tight scoreline I reckon. 1-0 or 2-0 to Inter.
