Ive really enjoyed watching the start of this league this year.
I have to say, the quality of the football is fantastic. Its not like you remember it. Beautiful pitches, packed stadiums, brilliant attacking football.

Villa vs Brentford tonight was a brilliant game.
Leeds, Brentford, Villa, Boro, Swansea, Wigan, Forest, Derby all seem intent on playing really attacking football.
Every game I have watched has been end to end 100 miles an hour attack attack attack.

Its more fun to watch than the premiership. I havnt seen any teams so far try to spoil. They all want to play to win.

Get on it.

Wish I had the time, but I've been following Swansea a bit since Graham Potter took over. He used to manage Östersunds, they beat Arsenal at the Emirates last season in Europa league. Doing a great job so far, managed a draw against Leeds and haven't lost yet.

To be fair, the premiership is rugby union. So the championship is bound to be better 😉 whisper it but I’d love to see dirty Leeds come up.

I’ve had a good bet on Middlesbrough to win it so I’m happy with it so far.

Yeah been good the coverage. Sky had better get used to it. It’s all they will have in 3/4 years.

I've been watching it a fair bit too. I spent a flight to california smashing out 2 seasons as Middlesborough on Footy Manager... and then did the flight back as Leeds. Felt like that gave me enough immersion into teams & players etc. Have a bit of a soft spot for Boro.

I'd like to see Biesla do well at Leeds as i love his style of football. Hope villa get relegated.

I lived in Falkland street in Boro in 1991 I think it was. They had Lenny Lawrence in charge and went bust. Our front room was about 50 feet from the back of the old main stand at Ayresome Park and when they scored the noise from the banging on the corrugated iron roof and back was fierce. Sadly all my soft spot for them disappeared on the appointment of that twat Robson as manager.

I see our former Rolls Royce isn't doing too well in the Championship
Hardly a surprise.

He should have pushed for a move to Spain or Italy when he left us imo.

He'd have flourished there.

The championship is the antithesis of the football he needs to be involved in. Yes, there's a lot of quality there & some great football, but it's still aggressive & you get very little time on the ball against the bigger clubs.

They fucked Geds team

Ged f'cked Ged's team. He had us playing some super football but lost his nerve overnight after Shearer scored a couple at our place and Newcastle drew a game we should have won. Next time out was that game against Boro, our players had clearly been told to keep things tighter than a mouse's ringpiece, they were equally clearly naffed off about it, we duly lost and GH's downfall began there and then.

Nice one thanks! Ok I just set up championship on my footy app I'll have to watch more games.

I read a report from a City blogger right before the window closed suggesting he should be their final signing of the summer. Would do better there than Stoke in the Championship for sure.

Leeds bash Norwich 3-0 away to go top.
They are fucking ace.
Wins for Derby, Boro, Blackburn also at the top while Bolton lose spectacularly.

Villa drop points and Stoke and QPR finally get some points.

I'd love to see Bielsa in the Premiership with Leeds next season; the games against Man City, which is managed by his best student, should be full of fireworks. Unfortunately for Bielsa, he rarely stays at one team for long, too moody and impatient.

Bielsa in the Prem would be interesting but Leeds can go f'ck themselves. During the spell in the 70s when they were our main challengers they were the nastiest, dirtiest side I've ever seen (despite having more than enough ability in the side to play proper football) and their fans followed suit. Not a club I'd ever want to see anywhere near the top division again.

This Friday there is Leeds vs Middlesborough or rather Bielsa vs Pulis. One of the biggest ever clashes in terms of footballing philosophies.

Someone on here loves Grealish (Dreamy / Modo) ? These are some VERY impressive stats over the first 6 games :

Not only created the most chances but look at the number of fouls he's drawn.
Most creative players 18/19

I like Grealish, he's good but not for the money they want. Sublime vision and passing but also slow as fuck. Will it work in the prem? Tough to tell.

Steve Bruce is taking a leaf out of harry redknapp book of signing any player available. Massive squad at villa and they playing awful. Leeds and boro are looking strong.

That's some change alright
