Seems as he's getting a good amount of rumours at the moment, I thought he was worth a thread. Just read on the twitterverse

"Tello: #LFC comfortable with either option - ready to pay upto €4m. Likely Barca could do a permanent deal. Depends entirely on player."

I'd like to sign him for cheap, no loan though please.

4 million euro? That sounds like a great deal if it's true ... Low risk signing that could pay huge dividends ...

Indeed, I think it's too low as well to be honest, I think it's probably our initial bid. I read somewhere that Barca were looking for 7m, so if we could meet in the middle, or even pay the full 7m, that would be great business for me!

How good is this lad though? Havent seen enough of him, but he's exciting because the pace and skill.

He plays for Barca, has pace and has skill, I just left it at that to be honest, he could be a sack of shit for all I know.

I watched him a few times and he seems like a decent player now. He's never going to be worldclass, but he's got a few tricks on him, scores some goals and in general, plays like a proper out n' out winger. It's tough to really tell HOW good a player is in the Barca set up ... time will tell when he moves to Atleti or us.

When a 17 year old midget is our best winger it's kind of hard to see how this couldn't be a useful signing, really.

Ballague was just on SSN saying that we are the favourites and that it should be sorted over the next 2 days. Loan and permanent deals are both viable options.

Very fast, can breeze past players easily and is a decent finisher (although not clinical).

He's quite raw though and needs to work on his decision making.

I'd be pretty excited to see him in an Anfield shirt and for 4M euros it's about as risk-free a signing as you're going to get.

Cristian Tello has been watched by Liverpool for some time, but the English club has finally decided to act, and its managing director, Ian Ayre, arrived in Barcelona on Monday to negotiate with both the Azulgranas and the player.

Barcelona, in principle, wouldn't be opposed to loaning the youngster out, but a transfer can't be ruled out if a sizeable offer comes in. Tello dreams of playing for the club he's grown up with but he knows he won't be in the first team.

The youngster had hoped that he would be called up to the first team, but Barça has decided that he'll stay with the B-team. The club was, however, planning to improve his contract. The promising forward, who joined up with the Barcelona squad late because he was involved at the Olympics, has also been able to get some playing time in the last two pre-season friendlies in Gothenburg and Bucharest.

Liverpool's manager, Brendan Rogers, is looking for a forward and has made it clear to the club that Tello is what he's looking for. The Merseyside club's interest in the player isn't new anyway. When Kenny Dalglish was in charge Liverpool already expressed an interest in the winger and Barça said no.
