Dunno, I was basing it on that comment in the RAWK thread. You're right, it would be devastating if Teemu Tainio was our main attacking signing this summer - I find that very hard to believe though.

i like yossi, he was a garcia replacement though rather than a random signing. when i think of random signings i think of players like voronin and zenden. this tainio is pretty much the same - the best of him isn't good enough for a mid table team let alone us.

Tainio was very good at Auxerre but has suffered an injury after injury since moving to Spurs(and Sunderland). Whenever he stays injury free for an extended period his form improves massively. Then he gets injured again.
If we could (big if) keep him fit he could be a good squad player but we have already signed one CM with worrying injury history so I would be amazed if we signed Tainio.
