I love the guy and want him here for a long long time, but if I think he makes a fuck up, then I'll say so.

Fucking hell.

We're having our traditional bad patch of the season, albeit in January rather than October, and we are still in 3rd place

I know mate, and I don't think anyone really expected us to jump from 8th to champions overnight, it's right to keep perspective, but I think the issues at the moment - aside from being unlucky with a couple of injuries and Mane being away, are down to Klopp's hesitation during the games.

It's not a new issue and it's one he needs to sort out, because it's at times like this when he really needs to show he's got more in his locker than relying on a tight system and certain personnel, he has to recognise when things aren't working and have something else up his sleeve. For instance, he's persisted with playing Firmino wide for ages now, his and our best form were with him upfront, he plays back there yesteday and scores two. The flat midfield three isn't working and hasn't done really since Coutinho got injured, yet he's persisting with it. It's frustrating, because we're closer than we expected to be, but much of our problems are our own doing. And the defense is still terrible.

While I agree with all of that I think it also highlights the current paper thin nature of our squad
The reality being that the alternative to playing a regular first team player who is off form and out of position is often an even bigger drop off in standard

The first half performance was the killer for me. We posed very threat to the Swansea defence, their was no urgency, no interchanging of play to try open them up, no pressing, nothing. Let them away with it and I bet they couldn't believe their luck when they got to half-time 0-0 and being largely untroubled.

That's what stinks about yesterday more than anything for me. We were at home against a bottom of the League team with the aim of getting 3 points to keep the pressure on Chelsea. If that's not motivation enough then I don't know what is. You can't just turn up and expect to roll teams over...no matter who they are. Complacency, lack of character, arrogance...maybe a mixture of the 3 but we bottled it either way.

Oh and Klopp needs to behave himself blaming the atmosphere (lack of) all the bloody time. It's a 12.30 kick off post Christmas against relegation fodder....it was never gonna be bouncing. Nor would it have been at Old Trafford Stamford Bridge The Emirates or The Ethiad if they were playing Swansea at 12.30 on a January afternoon.

A shit atmosphere at their respective grounds didn't prevent them from winning League Titles.

We're not to fond of those early kick offs either are we? Won once so far this season.

Even more gutted today about yesterdays result.
Soton playing well and beating Leicester. Will be a tough game on Wednesday aswell.

Atmosphere at anfield has been shit for years.

Every now and then the crowd come alive but not enough.

Maybe we've been found out. Every team we play does the same against us lately. Even Plymouth frustrated the shit out of us.

Its impossible to frustrate pace, intelligence and fluid football.

yesterday was all on us

We are starting to look like that team that finished 8th in the league. With Some big games coming up, I hope we rise to the occasion or else we could be out of the league and both cups in next 10 days

No surprise really considering that two out of the three key first team players that came in to the team from last season have been missing.

Should we still not be beating the likes of Sunderland and Swansea without them?
Of course we should but it shouldn't come as a surprise either to see us revert to last years form without the players that have improved us this season.

The failure to compensate for the loss of Mane is negligence on our behalf.

Embarrassing isn't it?

It's actually quite reassuring that most fans here are aware enough and knowledgeable enough to make critical comments and discuss issues and problems with the team

What kind of cringing lickspittle would find it odd that we question the authority of the manager and the club? We know what the issues are

The shite defence and lack of ability to control games has been glaringly obvious for years

Shite defence and lack of ability to control games is obvious. We all know that...and even when we were ripping it up in the first half of the season it was obvious.
Hopefully it'll come with experience, possibly new players in one or two area's etc.

What was more damning yesterday was our failure to play to our strengths and go for the throat in that first half. What we can control is ability to put team's like Swansea under serious pressure from the first whistle by showing urgency, moving them around and by pressing them etc. That was the hardest thing to accept.

Arsenal score an injury time penalty winner

Fucking great

I'm worried about the Top 4 now; we have Spurs and Arsenal - who usually finish above us - chasing Chelsea, but our biggest threat now could be the two Manchester clubs, given we aren't going to be genuine title challengers and the London clubs will probably finish above us

Once Mane comes comes back, we'll be ok - him / coutinho / firmino are awesome together.

But yes, the optimism of a top 4 finish is being shaken.

Chelsea deserve to be champions, not like the tossers from last season.

Conte is 1 of the best managers in the world.
