Anyone think he might revert back to that early season catastrophe of Hendo at RWB with Gerrard in centre mid?

I can just see him shoe-horning Gerrard in somewhere.

This is why I can't sleep at night. I think that may exactly be what he does.

The way to handle this is use his injury as an excuse to ease him back in gradually. In the meantime hope that we make it to the final. Then put him back into the team for the last few games knowing he has a final to play for and that these are his last ever games for the club. In those circumstances he'll play well and win us those games.

If he starts tomorrow, disrupts the team, causes things to go wrong, and he'll end up leaving on a very sour note. He has that gay charity game to look forward to for now. Absolutely no reason to shoe-horn him into the team.

I dont think Gerrard will start tomorrow. BR has already announced that one has the right to enter the team when asked about Gerrard. BR will make sure, when everything is fine with the current players in the current set up without Gerrard, so he will continue like that.

We've won 2 of the 14 matches we've played in Swansea.
Last victory in '82.

Bricking it. Have a feeling we'll struggle.

This rare 8 day break might well prove to be a God send. I'm often impressed with Swansea and Gary Monk doing a great job but we do our thing and we'll win this.

I'm worried about Shelvey. He has had a few disasters against us but he also usually makes a positive contribution. I really hope today isn't the day when it all goes right for him.

Plus he scored an OG last time, so he'll be looking to put that right, aswell as his feud with Can.

He will defo score or assist but it is as likely to be for us as them. He could also well get sent off.

Luckily they are Bonyless.

Still capable though.. I hope we do them, our away record is looking pretty sharp, if we get at them early and put a goal or two past them then their confidence will be in tatters, but we need to be on our game, especially after a bit of a break. I hope Sakho comes back in aswell, we've looked less comfortable of late with Lovren in there.

-------Can---Skrtel---Sakho-------
Johnson---Hendo-Allen--Moreno

Presume you're taking the mick with the Johnson inclusion?

Yeah, cos god forbid someone notice he actually played well, in a position that doesn't really suit him & think he warrants a place in the team instead of just persisting with a lazy agenda cos it's popular.

Aye one half decent performance at right centre back means Johnson should start at right wing back in a must-win Premier League game away from home. It also makes up for two years of one inept performance after another.

I've no agenda against him or any other player. They're all the same to me. Fact is he's been awful for a long time now and you're deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

Wish we'd played Swansea a few weeks back when Ki was away on international duty and Sigurddson and Routledge were both out injured. Their form since Xmas has been dodgy until the last few weeks when these 3 came back into the team. I reckon 1-1 tonight, which won't be good enough.

I can only hope you're wrong @Pesam. In our favour is the fact that we're clearly playing really well, and it could be argued that playing a side who wants to play football will work in our favour. Our last league performance against Burnley was a really exciting performance, put in context by Burnley's result at the weekend. If we get our game on then we've got a great chance.

I really hope I'm wrong because this game is huge; if we win it gives us the chance to finally break into that top 4 next week....if we lose/draw then anything less than 4 points in the United/Arsenal games will see our dreams of top 4 fade significantly.

Yeah, it's massive. Although if we draw tonight, then win against Utd it puts us one point off them and right amongst it. Long way to go yet.

We should beat them. They are mid table average team. If we don't then it's our own fault.

I'd rather have Markovic starting at RWB than Johnson.
I'm far from Johnson's biggest fan, but he played well in his last outing and Markovic has been pants of late. I think we need to be solid from the off and I'm more comfortable with Johnson in a less demanding wide role, where he won't be exposed as much positionally but will still provide good defensive cover.

Markovic seems to be getting a big reprieve of late.
