John Giles has claimed that the decision to sign Mario Balotelli is not Brendan Rodgers' and the Liverpool manager should walk away from the club if the Italian completes his £16m move.

Ireland's top pundit made the sensational claims in today's Herald, saying: "I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing.

"They just got rid of one trouble-maker, Luis Suarez, and now they've brought in another.

"First and foremost, I cannot believe that Brendan Rodgers made the decision. A few weeks ago, Rodgers stated very clearly what he felt about the idea. If he doesn't want him, he should walk away."

When Liverpool's interest in Balotelli was first muted, Rodgers said: "I can categorically tell you Mario Balotelli will not be at Liverpool."

And that is enough evidence for Giles.

"Anyone reading that can only think that he didn't want Balotelli and, let's be honest, why would he? He saw what everyone saw. He saw how badly Balotelli behaved at Manchester City, how disruptive he was. He does the same wherever he is."

Won't lie, I've been giddy about this.

Always liked Balotelli/wanted him to succeed, but found him frustrating and didn't actually want him at the club ever.

Fuck it, though...let the madness ensue yo!

Shit's hilarious....for now.

*chases head 'round back garden*

John Giles can fuck off.
Bitter old hypocritical cunt that won his medals by kicking lumps out of opposition players.

He might have a bit of a point but he's really just reading between the lines and drawing his own sensational conclusion and giving overly dramatic advice.

It probably went like - Hey brendan, the windows closing and we're struggling to sign a good striker. Would you take Balotelli for cheap and see how he gets on?

Themn's arrival was like when the lights would go out in the Royal Rumble and The Undertaker would just appear in the ring.

Business has just picked up.
