GettyArkadiusz Milik could be plying his trade on Merseyside next season
Liverpool and Everton are set to battle it out for the signature of Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to reports.
Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, cited by the Express, say both Merseyside clubs are tracking the Poland international.
Milik has scored 24 goals in all competitions for Ajax this season.
Europa League finalists Sevilla have also been linked with the 22-year-old.

De Telegraaf today reported Roma, Lazio and Leicester City making formal approaches to Ajax for Milik. Nothing about us or Everton or Sevilla.

I hope we don't try and skim some dollars off this deal and blow it. If it takes that extra 2% to seal the deal, pay the money. This whole transfer could prove to be a tightrope walk, and I wouldn't want to miss out on the potential cream of the crop.

Acc to Bild Tottenham are VERY interested in Werder Bremen defender Jannik Vestergaard, 23 (with £12M being the quoted fee) and for what it's worth I really hope Klopp at least have considered him as an option.

He's about 2 meters tall, incredibly strong in the air and in tackle and also good on the ball (sometimes playing in the DM role). And then he's a real no-nonsense leader-type, a characteristic I believe we truly lack in the current squad.

If we bought him and where extremely lucky he'd turn into a new Samy Hyppia type of player - if we were not so lucky he'd still have many suitors and we could re-sell without a big loss.

My 'full' report on him from the 'Bargains' thread: http://sixcrazyminutes.com/index.php?threads/bargains.77622/#post-1380935

This news will probably be music to the ears of most Liverpool fans today.
Alberto Moreno had a shocker last night in our Europa League Final defeat to his former club Sevilla, but it seems like we could be bringing in an immediate upgrade soon.

Cologne are closing in on Darmstadt’s left sided player Konstantin Rausch, which according to Mirror journalist Alex Richards, paves the way for their left-back Jonas Hector to sign for Liverpool this summer.

Hector starts for Germany and will do at this summer’s European Championships, and said back in April that he’d be tempted at the opportunity to work under Jurgen Klopp (via Sky Sports).
The Daily Star, among other more reputable publications, claim we’re battling Arsenal for Leicester City’s teenage left-back Ben Chilwell, but we’d be disappointed if the youngster was the only player in this position we signed this summer.

Hector is decent going forward but takes pride in his defending, something we badly need injected into the side. Hopefully Emre Can can have a word with him and also Mario Gotze as the Germany squad meet up for the Euros.
We hope this rumour has legs.
