So according to Kicker, there has been a breakthrough in negotations between the clubs and Schürrle to Dortmund is all but done now, for roughly €30m.

BVB fans are perplexed as they can't see how he fits in with Tuchel's tactics.

Are Dortmund turning into a 2nd Bayern now? Weakening rivals by collecting their best players?

This could be good (or bad if you're a Lazar fan) news for us as Wolfsburg were previously interested in Markovic.

Manchester United have had an £85m bid for Paul Pogba rejected by Juventus, according to Sky in Italy.
United had the offer turned down on Tuesday but have reportedly been told by the Italian champions that a world-record transfer fee in excess of £100m for the France midfielder would be accepted.

It is understood Juventus have now accepted Pogba wants to leave the club, although the cost of the deal has already priced Real Madrid out of the market.

United's initial offer was made during a meeting between their executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and Juventus general manager and CEO Giuseppe Marotta.

Pogba remains on holiday and will not return to Turin until August 6.

105 mill £ for Pogba appaz. Insane. The money being spent is absolutly hilarious.
At least 40 mill to much.

No wonder he wants Pogba to go to Utd

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola could receive up to £18.4m from #mufc as part of the deal.

Football is fucked.

Subotic out for the rest of 2016 as he requires surgery. Kind of glad we missed out on him, too injury prone.

Liverpool appear poised to act on Jordan Amavi interest
According to Le Parisien‘s Florian Fieschi, Liverpool continue to consider the possibility of signing French youth international left-back Jordan Amavi from Aston Villa.
Jürgen Klopp has been interested in the player for several months, even before he arrived at Liverpool and Amavi was placed on a list of potential targets collected by Liverpool before the transfer window began, GFFN has learnt.
GFFN has also learnt that a meeting took place between Liverpool and the player’s agent in June.
Liverpool are expected to definitively decide within the next 10 days whether or not to pursue Jordan Amavi during this summer transfer window, as we head into August.

Is he the one who was really good and then got injured?
I dont remember seeing him play at all.

I really like Amavi.. excellent stats in France (attack and def ) and looked excellent before his injury at Villa.

If he is fully recovered he would be a massive upgrade on Moreno

Juventus and Everton set for battle over Newcastle’s £35m Moussa Sissoko
The Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko is wanted by Juventus and Everton.
Andy Hunter
Juventus have earmarked Moussa Sissoko as their preferred replacement for Paul Pogba and face competition from Everton for the £35m-rated midfielder.
Liverpool agree deal to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle for £25m
Newcastle United are close to banking £58m from the sale of the France international plus Georginio Wijnaldum, who is set for a medical at Liverpool after a fee rising to £25m was accepted for the Holland midfielder.
St James’ Park officials want £35m for Sissoko but that has not deterred Juventus, who are prepared to pay the asking price for the 26-year-old. Manchester United are trying to sign Pogba for what would be a club record fee.
Sissoko enjoyed an impressive European Championship with France and is keen to move following Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship. Although Juventus have Champions League football on offer, they face rival interest from Everton for the powerful midfielder.
Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s billionaire major shareholder, is also willing to meet Newcastle’s valuation of Sissoko. Goodison Park officials are meeting on Thursday to discuss significant moves in the transfer market, with the new manager, Ronald Koeman, yet to sign an outfield player for the first team since replacing Roberto Martínez.
Moshiri has shown his ambition to overhaul Everton in terms of management structure, with compensation agreed with Leicester City for their highly prized chief scout Steve Walsh, and will back Koeman with substantial transfer funds. Whether that can persuade Sissoko to resist Juventus’s advances, however, remains to be seen. Arsenal have also been linked with Sissoko but have not returned to Newcastle with an offer in the £35m region.

Juve or Everton. Tough choice. Mind you, Sissoko seems like exactly the sort of player who will just go where he's paid the most.

Interesting that in Newcastle's last friendly, the Geordies were chanting they wanted Wijnaldum to stay, and Sissoko to go.

Amavi looked good before his injury. One of the few signings they looked like they got right.
For the right fee then that could be a good signing.

We have spent more money than anyone else this summer. £70m odd.

Of course, I don't doubt that will change as soon as the Pobga deal goes through, and City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton will also start chucking more money around, so we won't be the top spenders by the start of the season, but we are giving the funds to Klopp, and getting deals done.

We are expected to recoup somewhere around £90-100m though. So unless we spend over £30m then we could well end up Net Zero. I wouldn't be adverse to that with the new stand and without Euro football, especially if it means giving Klopp more in January / next Summer to acquire even higher quality replacements for those places that will inevitably require improvements.

Yeah, but I suppose the plus point is the movement in and out of players, and the improvement overall of the squad.

I'd still hope for another two players

Yes. I like the fact that we're getting our deals done early and I'm entirely relaxed about some of the others outspending us - that was always going to happen because Klopp's not one to go for galacticos as a rule. We need to let Klopp be Klopp.

I dont think we are finished by any means.
I think deals are later because of the Euros.

I dont think we will sign a DM because Can will play that deep role but I expect a LB and we NEED a forward especially with the likely departure if Benteke and Balotelli.

Other than that I think we have done an amazing job.
Obviously dependant on these players not being shite.
Im sure ive sat as we entered a new season lauding our business for them all to turn out to be spastics once or twice in the past.

Karius
Matip
Grujic
Mane
Klavan
Wijnaldum
On paper looks a really strong summer of ins so far.
