It's a weird one. On one hand it's funny that they are paying 100 million to get a player who previously left them for nothing. On the other hand he left under a different regime and they get an excellent player.

One would think so, but if he helps them to return to contention for the very top prizes ahead of time (and Mourinho clearly sees him as key to his plans) one could argue the point either way. Pirlo advises Balotelli against China move
Andrea Pirlo has advised former Italy teammate Mario Balotelli against a move to China this summer.
Balotelli is poised for a move away from Anfield after a difficult two-year spell at Anfield, and we sent on loan to AC Milan last season in order to regain form and fitness
Speaking to The Mirror, the current New York City midfielder believes that Balotelli has all of the attributes to be a top striker,and that a move to the far East would be a step down for a player of his quality.
He said: "I have played with some of the best strikers, and I can tell you Mario has all the attributes to be one of the best strikers in the world
"By now I thought that is where he would be, that is where he should be. He has no more time to waste.

Pillock says Balotelli shouldn't be going to China, then ends up with "I don't have any advice for him any more". 😕 I might have speculated that he'd had too many bangs to the head, but I doubt he ever headed a ball in his life. Chelsea have rejected a £15M bid for 20-year-old defender Andreas Christensen from Gladbach (where he is curently on loan for another year).
I'm concerned that Chelsea might keep him and have a fantastic cb for well over a decade
