Thats a very good statement of intent to be fair.Oh dear. Such impudence
I have probably 1,500 original 2000ADs
Thats a very good statement of intent to be fair.
I left all my comics behind in Belfast when I moved to England stupidly.
Ive replaced them with the bound novels, but your dedication probably wins.
Storyines. I love loads like the Cursed Earth, Dead Man, the original Apocalypse wars etc. BUT. I often prefered the little 2 episode or single story ones as they were punchy and stuck with me. Great examples:
Curse of the spider woman.
The adventures of PJ Maybe
The one where the Gods give a mortal power over everything and he fucks it up.
The one where a guy gets fired and poisons the air supply killing thousands and gets executed for it.
You might not remember any of them, they were all just one offs or a couple of issues tops.
Other than that the series that featured Chopper for the last time is one of my favourites still.
Dredd
Slaine
ABC warriors
Rogue trooper
Strontium Dog
My favourite storys in 2000ad
Are we signing Strontium Dog?
Mario Hamsik £35m bid and £10m for Townsend. If true we are burning money
Mirror and Express. Hopefully it's all Bull!Source please?
Hamsik is a very good midfielder. 35m seems a touch steep though.
Surely the journo's are bored as nothing is going on. 30mill for Deeney and 35mill for Hamsik to us? Gtfo
Townsend is shite if you rely on him as your primary offensive weapon – you will be disappointed with his production. But Rafa showed in his first few games in Newcastle that Townsend can perform a certain tactical role well and is coachable. Maybe he is more mature too, compared to his Tottenham days.
So why not? I don't find it entirely unbelievable that Man City and us are supposedly "tracking" a player like Townsend. In fact Guardiola did find use for more straightforward wingers like Tello or Cuenca even in Barca, and even more in Bayern.
Reports of Hemsik for £35m is shite too, right?Echo reported that its not true. If we believe them obviously 😉
we don’t need a Skrtel replacement having already acquired Joel Matip.
German and Swiss papers are running stories today reporting that he's going to Schalke for around £16M.Breel Embolo has finally been tediously linked to us.... Or is it Dortmund? It's a Scum based article, so I won't quote it, but essentially he's said he wants You'll Never Walk Alone at his funeral.
Sane will probably be signed within the next week, somewhere close to 40 million.
Liverpool handed boost in race for Colombian striker: Club president to consider offer
Liverpool have been handed a boost in the race to sign Atletico Nacional striker Marlos Moreno.
The Colombia international has impressed in the Copa Libertadores this season.
His impressive form has reportedly caught the attention of a number of top European clubs including the Reds.
And Jurgen Klopp's side have now been handed a boost in their pursuit of Moreno as according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Sporting Lisbon have pulled out of the race for his signature.
The report adds the Reds are continuing to monitor the 19-year-old along with Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Benfica and Porto.
Moreno will be free to leave Atletico Nacional for £8million after the club's president, Juan Carlos de la Cuesta, revealed he would consider offers for the striker.
He told Maisefutbol: "We are attentive and if we get something interesting, let's look at it with the technical team.
“We expect developments in this dossier in the next days because the market is open, especially the European market.
"We are available to study everything, but we'd like to have him at least until the Copa Libertadores."
