According to Belgian journalist, Sacha Tavolieri, relegated Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia is set to leave St. Mary's after just one a season, with the Reds in pole position for the £40m star's signature.
“Yes [he will leave the club], he is one of the big players who has shown his talents and abilities this season, so he won’t be part of the project of Southampton in the Championship, that I can assure you," Tavolieri said on Redmen TV.

“As it stands Liverpool are the closest club [to signing Lavia], at the moment there’s no real sign from Guardiola that he wants him back. It looks like Manchester are waiting to see what happens with Gundogan before they decide what they want to do with Lavia.”

Is there a minimum - I know we can't have more than 17 non-homegrown players

There’s no minimum and no maximum for home grown with in the 25 man squad - you can register as many or as little as you like - you just can’t register more than 17 non-homegrown players.

If you only register 2 homegrown then yiu end up with a small squad.

However - you don’t have to register U21 players wherever they’re from, so yiu can have as many of them as you like.

EPL doesn’t have the same variance between association and club trained.

@The Nomad explained UEFA comps are slightly different where you have to register 8 (u21 + seniors).
Take Ben Doak, he will be home grown when he turns 21 but if Klopp selected him to play in UEFA comps would he part of the 17 or the 8?

As a side note. Next season is the last season Bellingham can join an English club and count as home grown.

He's one season shy of the full quota, despite being born and raised in England.

Arsenal defender William Saliba will enter the final year of his contract this summer and the 22-year-old France international is yet to agree a new deal with the Gunners

Sell Gomez to the Gunners, and buy Saliba.... Would be nice 😎
Isn't gonna happen. They will offer him the same deal as Saka. Kronke has suddenly started to splurge the cash. Kronke as well as being asset rich is also cash rich.

As long as he spends his money on renewals and not improvements in happy. Concerned they'll get 2 very good mids this summer

17 goal contributions this season but he is 28, how long will those legs last, but he is the closest thing to Stevie G i have seen

What's the latest on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Liverpool?

According to transfer insider Rudy Galetti, Milinkovic-Savic is among the contenders for a summer switch to Anfield, with Klopp establishing the 28-year-old as a player who 'fits the club's needs'.
The Serbian powerhouse has long been the centrepiece of Lazio's system, however with just one year left on his contract could be available for transfer as his outfit looks to cash in while they can; a fee of €40m (£35m) has been toute

If Irish Kev is leaving, maybe it would be prudent to get a homegrown keeper, say from the Championship rather than agreeing on another contract with Adrian or signing a mediocre GK from Germany

did you miss the posts about the mediocre German being homegrown?

You have to wonder what our other young keepers are like.

Given that Adrian never plays (and hopefully still won't) then you'd have thought we have someone else who can fill his non-playing position

Of course we do.

Any of Jaros Pitaluga or Davies could take that position next season if Adrian were to leave, it's the easiest position in football to occupy because as you rightly put it....99.9% of the time they won't see a minute of football.

I don't think any manager sits at his desk thinking long and hard over who his 3rd choice keeper should be.

Not sure what Henderson is smoking.

Jordan Henderson: ⁣

Naby Keita is a cult figure with our fans and I can tell you the affection for him in the dressing room is just as big. His smile lights up the AXA Training Centre. As a player he is one of the most technically gifted I have ever trained with. His quality is a joke. As a person he is extremely humble and gentle.⁣

“Seasons are decided in some of these moments and Naby can look back with great pride for his achievements here. We're going to miss him and I know he'll have a huge impact wherever he goes next.”

Klopp’s on the same page.

But in his pre-Villa press conference on Friday, Klopp urged supporters to not forget Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita.

“What I don’t like, and I’m pretty sure Milly and Bobby wouldn’t like it as well, is if we forget Ox and Naby,” he said.
