He's a good player being done over by Lopetegui and that brainless caretaker they had before....been played either on the left or behind the striker in a front 4.
He doesn't strike me as someone who would thrive in a klopp system. More, be hamstrung by it
It's going to be very difficult to find a carbon copy of the midfield we have 3-4 years ago...nothing wrong with opting for a midfield in the mould that Madrid play with now....all technically very good, calm on the ball...dictating the play whether it be speeding up the play or slowing it down.
Not many thought Gini was the type who would strive, he was coached into it so you can never really tell unless you take that risk but he's clearly a very talented player, carries the ball forward well through the lines which none of our current midfielders are capable of doing.....they just like to pass it backwards and side in front of 2 banks of 4....even Thiago won't, he can thread a pass through the lines but not really carry the ball there himself.
At some point, it will be nice if he scored a goal.
If Everton were to get relegated we could poach either Iwobi (Use him as a AMF), Tarkowski, A defender I have like even in his Burnley days, Amadou Onana or Calvert-Lewin

I feel like I will be pissed if opens his purse this summer or does not open his purse. If we go on a spending spree, in a weird way, it will be irritating. All of this could have been avoided by taking some more risks in the transfer market since the CL winning season.
