Suarez Class

Great player, delighted to have him. But let's not pretend he's got Liverpool's best interests at heart. Suarez looks out for Suarez and always will.

The best thing about him signing a new contract is that he believes he can win things here. We've obviously become a much more attractive prospect to him, and also to potential transfer targets. That should allow us to attract top players, which is exactly what we need to push on.

It isn't an either/or IMO. For sure he'll be looking out for himself but, if we've persuaded him that he can do that by remaining with us and tearing up the Prem (and hopefully Europe), who gives a stuff?

I can understand him looking for himself. He's nearing 27 and wants to win things in football.
He's been with us for 3 years now and has given to us at least as much as we (LFC) have given to him.
I really hope he believes he can achieve his targets with us and stick with us.
However, if we fail to progress in the right direction - i.e. qualifying for CL (as a minimum) and signing top players, I will understand him if he asks to leave in the summer.
I'll be extremely disappointed if he does that because he is our main chance of getting to the top and winning the league again, but he definitely has a right to be ambitious.

I do think he has settled down since his ban. The diving and histrionics have been very few and far between. MOTD did a lovely little analysis on his captaincy during the Cardiff game, Highlighting just how much help he gives to Flanno and Sterling. You can see them both visibly growing in confidence all the time - BR obviously deserves huge credit but without a doubt so does Suarez.

One little thing he did that I noticed at the game was he took the little nipper mascot over to the Kop end before the kick off and had a little mini kick about. I don't go to the game enough to know if that always happens but it looked good and you could see the kid was made up.

Ha, well I don't think he is a racist and I think there is far worse a player can do on a field to an opponent than nibble on them.

He asked to leave to play in the CL but when he was refused he knuckled down and has now guaranteed us a huge fee when he does go.

So ya I think he's aces.
yer right, there is worse a player could do, but still, I laughed so hard when Dreamy wrote

"I think there is far worse a player can do on a field to an opponent than nibble on them."
