Sturridge And Klopp

I came into this thread just to have a word about that abortion of a journalist John Cross, he's Arsene Wengers mouthpiece, and ever since he got embarrassed over the Suarez saga has taken any opportunity he can to shit stir about the club.

As for hanging him out to dry, is what Klopps doing really that bad? If Sturridge had a single brain cell he'd see what Klopps trying to do (or at least whats being reported he's trying to do) is whats best for his career. How can he expect to be a professional footballer if he can't complete 10 consecutive training sessions, there's clearly a weakness somewhere in his core, and they're trying to sort it out.

For those who watched Dortmund closely back when Klopp was first there, he keeps comparing the situation to Gundogan who was out for 18months? Is it similar?

What's this religious bollocks? Was there a rumour?

Whether there was or not, it's utter garbage. The Studge and I are both Christians and there's not the shadow of a chance that his religious beliefs would be keeping him from playing. On the contrary, if anything they'd be pushing him to get back out there and use the gifts God gave him.

Something about it going against God's will or whatever. Clearly bullshit, like most of the stories surrounding his injury and relation with Klopp.

Exactly, but what I'm getting from Klopp is that Sturridge wants to play whenever he deems himself as being "fit".
Klopp fell for that once maybe even twice but got burned afterwards, meaning that Sturridge got injured again.

So like I said, Klopp is right in not reintroducing Sturridge until he can prove himself during a prolonged time in training.

I remember a certain harry kewell doing the same thing to Rafa.

He'll play a game in feb and score and everyone will rave we should keep him and how great we would be with a fully fit Studge.

He'll be gone by the start of next season and rightly so

Saying how great we would be with a fully fit Sturridge is obvious, though. I'd keep him, but I would also ensure we have lots of pacy, skilful quality attackers who could score lots of goals, so we wouldn't have to rely on him being the ONLY one we have.

Which he is

He is not the only person capable of solving our problems. I am certain if we had Ings, or Origi available then things would have been different for us too. It's just amazing that all our main goal-scorers are out !!!!

He seems to be exceptionally prone to injuries. He also seems to be strangely fatalistic about it. To try to work this out, coming into the situation, and then dealing with both issues constructively, is pretty difficult, but Klopp seems to have handled it, on top of everything else, rather well.

Who wants a crock with potential?

Enough, get fit and you'll play is what Klopp's saying, in my opinion. Seems very reasonable to me.

Maybe we don't need a new signing...

No sign of any new players at Liverpool but boss Jurgen Klopp has provided some good news in his news conference just now - striker Daniel Sturridge is set to return to full training next week.
