Just read pullis said Suarez was an embarrassment for diving but failed to mention his rugby team knocking lumps out us..

That was frustrating as all shit.

Skrtel, Gerrard and Sahin giving the ball away all fucking day long. STOP PLAYING LONG FUCKING HIGH BALLS UP TO ROBERT HUTH YOU MONGS
Reina pumping it forward at one million miles an hour for Suarez to chase onto for the first 45 was the shittest tactic I’ve ever seen.
Our best two players being Andrew Wisdom and Sterling at a combined age of 13 is an embarrassment.

Stoke are fucking shit, and we made them look like geniuses.

Fuck off.

Suso was very good too, as was Allen (when chubby wasn't kicking him)

I said before the game, not that I'd usually advocate worrying about the opposition too much, but they've got big burly blokes at the back, it was like men v boys last night and despite their relative success, I don't think it was wise playing Sterling AND Suso against them, the whole "we'll get it down and play" ideal was flawed from the off, because Stoke were always going to kick lumps out of us, hold the ball up well and generally be a nuisance. They've been doing it for years, it's always tough going trying to play them off the park. That said, we once again could have been alot more subtle in our approach play, everything is just so rushed and hurried, we're relying on players controlling passes that have been blasted at them. While Suarez and Sterling have brilliant control, within the pattern of play, asking them to control some of the passes yesterday was ridiculous. We need to chill the fuck out and allow ourselves to build play and move bodies forward, instead of whacking it at Suarez and hoping it sticks.

It's also worth noting that we do struggle against Stoke alot. It's not a copout and I'm not saying anything about levels of ability or that we should be worried about teams of their caliber. We saw it for years too with Arsenal/Bolton, some teams just make it difficult for you and that's where that ability to be cute and have someone who can be a Luis Garcia and spark a bit of magic pays dividends. The year we came second we drew 0-0 at home and had the bulk of the play without really looking too obvious in out and out chances. Same yesterday (yeah I know we hit the post 3 times, but still). All our games against them are tight, we just really needed a win at this stage, but in the context of recent years, drawing against them is hardly a step back, it's just a case of same old, same old.

Thing is, first half they pressed so high that we'd have done better by hoofing it. Pepe had the ball and they knew he was going to pass it to a defender... they had six players in our half from our kick off. It was taking the piss and they won the ball off us a couple of times because of it. Amazed we kept a clean sheet with all the titting around at the back they did with it.

And another thing - quick free kicks. Stop it please. We get them on the half way line and instead of getting players into position it's back with Skrtel or Reina within a few seconds and it's just bloody stupid.

Were you guys watching the same match?

That's why I quoted him. They did hoof it a few times but looking at the whole pitch, with them having six in our half we should have done the same to them and hoofed it. Reina pinging it at a lone Suarez doesn't make sense but if we had half a dozen waiting to leg it forward we could have exposed the massive gaps they left in our half.

Other points: Gerrard was crap - but we never beat these twats. They play a different sport. I left that game not only questioning why I follow football but what the point of anything is. Stoke to football is the equivalent of that nobhead throwing paint on a Mark Rothko and claiming he improved it. Why work hard at things when everything will ultimately decay? PK Dick called it Kipple, a word for a specific kind of entropy. Everything dies, everything rots. That's what Stoke makes me think. Cunts.

Well I did assume that you were actually at the game.

Imagine supporting Stoke City.

I'd have been surprised if he *had* been charged for it.

Wonder how many media pundits will now say that decision's a disgrace. I won't be holding my breath waiting.

Huth won't be charged so there's a fekin surprise.

It's not though is it ? Not surprising in the slightest. You have Pulis barking like a baseball hatted chav bellend how Suarez should be banned for diving when really only red card offences such as the obvious and deliberate stamp on Suarez by Huth are ones that are supposed to be reviewed retrospectively. Of course it is completely overlooked by the FA old boys network which is just another case of how bent the game has become. And so the English obsession with over dramatic foreigners will continue to progress whereas the sheer thuggery and anti-football of alehouse teams will continue. It's OK though because we play football like real men here and it's Stoke isn't it - that's what they do - that's what we tolerate. Of course the next time Shawcross or Huth break someones leg a la Ramsey we can just say it's was with no malice intended.

TBF Mason's part in this is probably nothing more than sheer incompetence. He's a desperately poor referee. I reckon it's a toss-up between him and Martin Atkinson to decide the worst of the lot.

We had the über cunt Mgrath on Talkshite stating that Suarez should be banned, the drunk Irish man must have been lying in the gutter having drunk away his pension money when Welbeck fell over against Wigan. There was hardly any comment on that incident from the media and the Bale dive has just been laughed away.

Part of this is down to the ridiculous and incompetent way in which we handle he media. We had KD go to one extreme with the t-shirts and Budgie go to the other extreme and suck of Fergie when the latter accused Torres of diving at OT. BR should stop the cuddly bollocks and start defending his players and point out the shit that occurs on the pitch. I know he defended Suarez regarding the penalties but yesterday was the perfect time to highlight the constant fouling by Stoke.

I like what he is trying to do on the pitch but his constant hugging of opposition managers, including super cunts like Pulis is just annoying.

Ps Lawro is the biggest wank-bastard-cunt face ever!

I disagree JJ, he has a history of making bad decisions against us, away games at Fulham, come to mind.

I wouldn't disagree about Rodgers but I can't help wondering how much difference anything we do or say will now make. Ferguson laid down the party line after *that* game against the Scum and they'll all continue to fall over themselves to suck up to him. As for Lawrenson, I wouldn't p!$$ on that cnut if he was burning.

Mason has a history of giving poor decisions against everybody. I've got a bluenose mate who's convinced Mason hates them. He wasn't impressed when I said that shows even Mason gets some things right.

If BR had made a fuss yesterday regarding the Huth incident and banged on about it Mason would have had a little pressure. However, BR to all intents and purposes defended stoke, I mean staying silent is one thing but to come out and defend stoke with such comments as ' they're real men' !! Or words to that effect means that the Ref is under no pressure to take any action.

Didn;t see match and can't bring myself to watch highlights/ Seems like we dominated another game, we failed to win, Suarez was diving again, and we've got 6 points from 21? Does that seem like a fair synopsis?

I don't think we dominated at all to be honest mate. We were poor, so were they. We tried to play footy and they tried to kick fuck out of us and get away with it. On that basis, they were the more successful.

I can remember 4 clear oppertunities and a number of other oppertunities in and around their box where we should have done far far better than we did. We didn't create a ton of chances but the ones that did come our way should have been taken. Johnson, Suarez and Skittles made a pigs ear of oppertunities that came their way and didn't even manage to test the keeper.

We were poor but in being poor we created enough to win the game.

Thanks Obi Wan. How did Huth get away with those tackles and stamping I heard about? And has Luis learned nought?

So there's a new textbook for mid table clubs on how to beat us? Just get the boot in?

Have any pundits/journos gone nuts about the Huth stamp they way they did over Balotelli's DELIBERATE AND DISGUSTING ASSAULT on Scott Parker ?
