Agreed, though I think it's the truth. Sterling's always given the impression of being a bit brain dead when playing for the ressies, for all his talent.
It actually makes sense though. Borrell changed the philosophy of youth development at our club. There used to be an emphasis on making the kids tactically aware before anything, while Borrell's philosophy it seems is to develop other aspects of their game.. Skill on the ball, movement, passing etc. Which is why tons of exciting players come out of the continent while england have rarely developed fleet footed skillful players.
The kids can really learn about the game once they graduate the academy. Before that, just make them better footballers. I really like Borrell and I'd like to think Rodger's comments were in no way directed as criticism towards him.
