It's an important game primarily down to UEFA rankings. Liverpool are sitting 4th only behind United, Barca and the Chavs and as such guaranteed a good seeding should we get ourselves back into the Champions League soon. We shouldn't spoil that down to a blunder in Turkey.

I hadn't thought about that, granted.

But I'm still very non-plussed about it. Having a long Europa Cup run would eliminate any small chance we have of making the CL this year.
