Spurs have had disastrous season when you consider their gross transfer spend. With hindsight they wouldn't have got as many players as they did (a mistake I hope we don't make). Its likely the new manager will have to sell before he could buy. So who will leave that its worthwhile us making a bid?

Eriksen would do. 15m

Paulinho I wouldn't sniff at either.

That's about it

For the money they spent they really have a poor squad. I'd take Vertonghen and maybe Lloris. I haven't seen much of Paulinho but have heard good things.

Definitely NOT Ericksen, he reminds me too much of the type of player we've signed for the last 20 years that have looked good but offered little and play well one in every 5 or 6 games.

I doubt they'll need to sell given all they were doing was spending Bale money, but there might be a few wanting to leave given the lack of European Cup football, and a new manager might want to get rid of a few.

There aren't really any I'd be particularly desperate to sign.

Paulinho will leave. Chelsea and some Italian clubs are interested.

Lamela could also leave I reckon.

Lewis Holtby looks like the type of player that would fit in well in our squad.
Skillfull, hard working with an eye for a goal.

Agreed with this, at least he seems to have done well in the games I've seen him play in. He moved to Spurs on a pittance, and I can see Levy making a decent profit there if he's sold. Their new manager - whoever he is - might decide to keep him on though. For the same reason, I don't think we should anticipate a clear out until the manager situation becomes clearer.

Fuck Spurs and that twat Levy - they'll be trying to rape whoever they sell too.

Hopefully they'll offload some shite to Man Utd at vast quantities then spend it all on more hopeless shite.

Paulinho appears to regret his move and doesn't want to be there. I imagine he'll be leaving.

Perhaps Pesam has seen a lot more of Spurs than I have but whenever I have watched them play, Eriksen has been their standout player. For 12M or whatever he cost them he's been a good buy. They won't sell him.

I guess Holtby would be a good utility player but not sure he'd move just to fulfill the same role at the another club.

I don't think Levy is going to have it all his way if a new manager comes in (when not if) and I'm sure will want a decent kitty. Beggars can't be choosers and Spurs will not have the money this Summer (no CL and having blown all of the Bale money in one big gamble). There could be some good pickings there.

Holtby, Eriksen, Paulinho, Vertonghen would all be good pick-ups at the right price. Especially the last two since they would be perfect for us (bye bye Lucas).

Eriksen is talented but doesn't seem very motivated and disappears when things aren't working for him. We're developing a team with a strong work ethic and with a winning menatilty and I don't think Eriksen fits the bill.

But you could say the same about Coutinho as well.

Eriksen's a very talented player, and he's actually scored and assisted more in all competitions than any of Mata, Coutinho, Lallana and Oscar this season. As for work ethic, I remember KHL liked reminding us that he ran more than any other player in Europe last season or some shit like that?

He's not had a great manager to work with - I'd like to think someone like Rodgers could really take him to the next level in terms of improving work ethic and mentality.

Yeah @Pesam, I have to say I agree with the Eriksen advocates. He's been in a misfiring team in which he wasn't getting a look in periodically, yet as soon as he got any kind of run has looked consistently dangerous, and I must say, I think he definitely puts a shift in. He was excellent value at 12m and I wish we'd all just listened to @KHL and bought the little Danish rapscallion.

I'm not convinced Doc but I've only seen him 3 or 4 times, maybe I'm wrong on this one as he seems popular.

Regardless of whether he is better than some of the players we targeted and missed out on, I don't think that there is any doubting that our squad and as a consequence our title challenge would have been stronger if we had signed Eriksen.

+1 on Eriksen. Rodgers and his team of coaches could turn the lad into something very special.

Keep those Ericksen posts coming, and I have a feeling we'll manage to bring Kristian back... 😉

Ericksen is the only bright spot from the £100m shower, so they won't part with him. As for the rest, not even as a gift.

He's not looking very good at Fulham right now but that's likely because Fulham is sh!t. Is he really better than, say, Suso?

I think Dembele, Lamela (but he must fed up of Blighty) and Paulinho.

Eriksen is quality IMO, but I get the impression that he's more than a little up himself, so I'd be concerned about how he'd fit into the extraordinary team spirit which we've built up under Rodgers. If, having done our due diligence, we were satisfied on that score, I'd sign him for the right price.
