Allen picked up in about the last 5 minutes, him and Hendo look like clones, only Hendo looks slightly better, Gerrard is just getting outpaced and outclassed by a few more athletic slightly 'meh' players. Johnson has made a few good runs in behind, but defensively once again has been a car crash. At least Downing has an excuse in that he's not a defender.
Ironic really. The winger playing as a fullback is getting stick for poor defending, yet the defender that's been raped all over the place is no doubt getting pats on the back for a few good forward runs.

Unfortunately Gerrard, despite playing better than the weekend, is not helping the midfield much, Allen is way below par & henderson is also disappointing. As such we practically don't have a midfield.
Don't get upset guys - you should all know by now that every time we come up against a fast pacey opposition who decide to press us a little all that tiki taka stuff goes out the window. I am listening on the radio - and no I am not enjoying this, there is no progress in this side ABSOLUTELY NONE - I have every right to say this. From what I heard from the first half - they are all over us, and as expected we are missing chances - no change there otherwise we would not be looking for new recruits in January.
Ok so Bale tore us a new one in the first 10 mins. I think we dominated the majority of the rest of the half though. I'm expecting (and praying) for a better 2nd half. Miracles happen!........

Thanks glad you agree but I ain't going anywhere. I actually feel for the team and don't fill my expectations with false hope like most of you do on here. 2 goals down in the first 16 minutes is not a good sign is it ? NO !!!!

If Downing hadn't decided to simply stop running as Bale burst into the box, their first goal doesn't go in. Pathetic "effort". Watch the replay - On the 'zoomed in' version, he's not even in the fucking picture.
If Henderson had any luck / skill / (insert word here), he'd have put the ball into the open goal.
If the ref had gotten the call right, it was never a free kick for their second. If it hadn't been deflected, Reina probably had it...
If that ball had bounced of Suarez just a little harder or if Gallas had gotten just a little closer to it before it was cleared, it'd have ended up in the net.
If we could finish, they'd have gifted us a coupl by now.
A good team with a bit of luck about them would be going in ahead at halftime. We, of course, are well behind.

Indeed mate - Seems we watched the same half. Apart from a bit finishing this would be so much better. 2-0 flatters them. Fuck it - it's either gonna be a gutting 4-0 loss or a result. If we get an early goal I'm up for a result for sure.
The problem for Gerrard now is that with his athleticism no longer allowing him to dominate he doesnt really bring much else to the party. Our midfield needs a shake up, not enough urgency and nowhere near enough pace. Teams that can surge forward with pace have caused us huge problems and I dont see Rodgers doing anything to change it. There is now a very clear way to play against us, press quickly and counter attack with pace, we have no answer to it
At least Rafa got Chelsea to stop scoring goals.
As he keeps getting fatter Phil Dowd is starting to look a bit like Nick Frost.
I'd like to see Suso, Sahin and Assaidi on for Gerrard, Allen and Downing because they're just can't be worse.
I actually think SG can do the running he use to do but the boy is now saving himself for England and I reckon he is not doing the required running out of fear of injury and nothing else. Unfortunately this is costing Liverpool.
