According to BBC Radio 5 Live 2.00 news bulletin, Liverpool FC have asked the F.A. for permission to call off Sunday's home game against Tottenham Hotspur because of weather conditions.

It'll be off... no questions... I don't expect there to be many games tomorrow... only the Wigan game has been confirmed as ON (thats because they have no fans anyway).

Hull have said there's should be on, subject to an inspection around the ground.

3 have already gone, Fulham, Burnley & Sunderland home games.

This reminds me of the good old days; matches postponed due to inclement weather, fixture backlog ensues, games rescheduled, we play catch-up with the league leaders, we win the league

Tottenham game called off
8th Jan 2010 - Latest News

Liverpool FC and the Premier League confirm that Sunday's fixture against Tottenham Hotspur has been postponed.

A club spokesman said: "Although the Anfield pitch is perfectly playable for the game, the problem we face is the icy condition of the approach roads and paths in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

"The safety of our fans is paramount and an assessment of both the prevailing conditions and the weather forecast for the next 48 hours has been made in arriving at the decision to call off the match. Both local police and the City Council were fully involved in this assessment.

"All existing tickets will remain valid for the re-arranged game. We will also offer refunds and will publish a deadline date for refunds once the re-arranged fixture date is announced, such that we can re-sell any returned seats to other supporters."

Hospitality:

All guests who have purchased hospitality for this fixture are advised to retain their tickets as they will be valid for the new date. We will advise guests of the new date as soon as possible.

According to Talkshite "Torres and Gerrard still not fit enough eh ?" and "If the will was there, it would happen".
