I think the thing i like least about SoS is how they remind me of my 16 year old, 'politically-aware', self. God, I was a twat.
After the away match against Sunderland on 20th March 2011, the Liverpool supporters coach convoy was escorted all the way back from Sunderland to the Merseyside boundaries denying access to the use of service stations and any motorway exits along the way.
Following the match the Liverpool Supporters' Union worked with the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) to take the complaint to the Northumbria Police Force. This complaint was not upheld, however, with the help of the FSF and their solicitors we subsequently raised the complaint with Durham Police Force.
The Union is pleased to announce that the complaint has been upheld by this force and the position of the Union has been completely vindicated.
The implications of this decision may now impact on any persons who were affected by the actions of the Police on this return journey and particularly any coach trips who may now in potentially be able to seek compensation.
We will be contacting everyone who travelled with the Union and members who submitted evidence for our original submission complaint in due course. Members should ensure that their contact details on our database are up to date by logging in from the Union's homepage . Other coach operators have also been informed of this decision.
Any member (membership must be up to date) who wishes to be added to these proceedings in relation to a possible claim, should get in touch in the first instance by emailing: admin@spiritofshankly.com by 14th November. Any other people affected should contact their coach operator.

I do. This is about supporters rights and frankly given the fact that our rights were ignored for 23 years then people perhaps should care more.
