Yes, but I'm talking about the pen
The pen came from the whole back 4 taking turns to fuck about, the first fuck up about 3 mins in from Ibou set the tone.

It happened to be Virgil's turn, it could've been anyone the way they were playing.

Lallana can get to fuck…almost a nasty injury for Grav (and got away with the red card) having previously appealed to the ref (successfully) to book Bradley early in the game.

Just watched the 24 min highlights.

We had so many chances on another day we’d be out of sight.

City get bummed 4-0 at home and we win away when we are 2-1 down away from home after 65 mins.

Take that all day long.

The great think about tight come from behind wins is that it build an a belief that we can beat anyone and come back from any position to win.

Salah continues to make an absolute mockery of anyone who questioned his ability to maintain his insanely high g standards into this season. Unlucky not to get a hat trick. 2-1 down looking in real trouble? No worries Salah to the rescue, AGAIN! He even set up his own penalty with the cross.

Nevermind a contract, he’ll deserve a statue if we go on to win the league this season.

He looked lively and loved to drive forward.
Only 18 years old with no fear playing against men. Bordering disrespectful the way he played.
Chelsea probably have first dibs ( no pun intended) since he used to play for them, but we should definitely monitor him.

Not really no, it was 1 mistimed tackle that's been in his game forever. He should never have been in the position to have to commit or not if the whole defence wasn't fucking about.

Plus going forward he was really good.

More worried about how long Kostas could be out.
He was also at fault for the one excellent save Kelleher had to make - his awful attempted overhead kick went from wide of our goalposts and gifted it to Saints right in the centre. Absolutely awful attempted clearance that would have been a goal but for Kelleher.

Don't think Lallana was a red.

Virgil left his team mates hanging.. for both goals. Wasn't anywhere to be seen second and lost the ball for the first.

First one, does Robbo slip before the foul? Or just makes a weird run.. he should have shielded the player out get him to make an audacious shot or pass away. Feel like he's shattered and dives in.

Ibou with too many fouls.

For their second, both Bradley and Ibou get turned too easily leaving player at the back free. So so poor.

Pretty sure i saw a tweet earlier that we play our worst and they play their best we'll still win. Lucky it came about cos we were poor.

Salah scored the two but that first was weird. What the heck was the keeper doing.

Anyway, no internationals for a while.
We have 2 games a week until Feb.
Big 2 games coming up.

Good chance to inflict max damage on both Madrid with their poor start to Champ league and City to recent poor run.

The defence need to sort their shit out, we need to play with 3 DMs in front of them against Madrid. Cannot see us winning after that performance.

I know that it's getting boring but what did you guys think of Nunez's performance?

Honestly, I feel like this has to be his last season at LFC.

He just doesn't suit us at all.

He's shit, just obviously not good enough at this point. I've thought for ages that CF is the weakest area of the squad. Jota is permanently injured and Nunez never even looks like scoring these days.

I'd be delighted if we sign a striker in January or if Danns find his form from last season and manages to impress Slot

Darwin just sadly looks out of sync with the rest of the team. Works hard but there is just nothing there.
Sell this summer. We need a proper CF.

It wasn't the fact that it was mistimed, it was also completely unnecessary because he was running at am angle and there were three men running back to cover.

Robbo and Bradley were bad at the back today. Better up front though

He's definitely working hard..

And should have had an assist. I think he's overcompensating for his deficiencies at th moment. Too much self awareness

I watched the highlights again and saw the challenge. Yeah Robbo didn't have to do that. Dibling was moving away from the goal, Robbo could have just tried to make it a bit difficult for him. Let him have a shot from an angle. Kelleher could have saved it.

It’s was mentioned in the commentary (and I checked) - he already left Southampton for Chelsea as a 16 yo, failed to settle and came back.

Whether that was just his age or that he’s be of those kids that’s more of a home-bird, I dunno - but he looks like the sort of tidy player that’d fit right in to our team.

Might be worth a cheeky punt when they get relegated - maybe use Morton as bait.

Yeah - it really isn’t working for him at all.

Crunch time for him - he’d be at that point where his sell-on value is at its highest or we’d need to be talking about extending his contract.

Trouble is, I’m not entirely convinced by the prospective replacements.

Worst defensive performance I have seen from a Liverpool team under Slot. Surprising.
We went full on Klopp. Controlled the game for lengthy spells. Pressed well. Shit ourselves in the foot. Everyone says not impressed despite doing the right thing 95% of the time. Stressed out the fans.

We gifted them both goals but had full control of the game. Bit like Slot said. Typical performance after an international break but in the end we won. 3 points is all that matters.
