Solve our left back problem

I really hope Joyce's story of Klopp sticking by Moreno is a return of the good ol' *smokescreen*. This summer has been devoid of any so its about time we had a good one.

To sell Smith, loan Flanagan out and keep that plank Moreno without bringing another left back in is bonkers.

Flanagan looked awful in pre-season – he would not provide a real alternative to Moreno in this form. He needs to play himself back into form. Smith is OK, but he is not better than Moreno defensively or offensively.

If it's true Klopp thinks he can improve Moreno - I would've applauded that a few months ago, but surely now he must see that this lad is uncoachable. It's an infuriating thought when you look at someone and think you can't teach them, it goes against all your convictions, but when you don't see any positive response at all, then sadly you need to channel your efforts elsewhere. Maybe this bloke is much nicer than the irritating tit that he seems, but he's surely not going to change much for the better.

We really aren't buying anyone are we? It's gone quiet on the buying end and we seem busier shipping out deadwood.

That may not be because we didn't want to. Maybe the right players haven't been out there, or they were but their clubs wanted to stiff us on the price.
