The 4-5-1 you mentioned above cost us the title and a CL final these last seasons and explained why we were in the drop zone.
We drew at Wigan with that shite 4-5-1 with Lucas giving a stupid penalty away 2 seasons ago.

We just beat Chelsea playing with the desire to win the game instead of trying not to lose it.

Gerrard has to play in the middle and Torres needs a partner up front.

Hope that happens....Gerrard looked very tired towards the end of the Chelsea games. Serious injuries tend to happen when the player has tired legs.

hey, I haven't said we should defend and hope to hit them on the counter (although this isn't a bad tactic away from home) I'm saying go with the formation that will make it difficult for the away team to play through us.

I mentioned that while Kuyt is back and just busted a lung, he'll probably be replaced with Magic.

Its hardly likely that he'll play the same team in midweek after a tough game against Chelsea and another game coming up quickly on the weekend.

I'm not trying to be a misery guts, it's just that it'd be so like us to beat Chelsea one week and then lose to Wigan the next. Almost inevitable in fact.

Apologies mate, I thought you were saying he'd change it because that's what he's been doing.

Anyways.. hopefully it's the same team because Cole and Johnson have underperformed so far and the team comes first.
 
I'm all for retaining a winning team. Lucas and Gerrard deserve another outing at CM and Torres with a partner bring a whole new element of attacking threat to our play.

I certainly hope tha Kelly gets another run out. The lad was immense and deserves another crack at the first team.

Great opportunity to see Charles N'zogbia up close.

Yes you can.

When Lucas becomes the greatest player ever to have lived - then they can feel vindicated, but when he's played a few good games and they've heralded him as the future of the club, thwarted only by the people around him and their inability to get the best out of him, then they don't deserve to feel vindicated in the slightest
