So who will be the biggest improvement under Roy?

I think we might see Gerrard get back to his best.

He's always liked a supportive manager who'll put an arm round him and I think Roy will fit the bill.

If he can get Gerrard back on top form, that will be better than any signing Roy could possibly make.

If Roy can turn Babel into the player he should be, I will seriously start to get excited about his management.

A season preview in one of the broadsheets highlights an upturn in morale within the squad with Roy treating the players with respect as adults as opposed to cogs.

This. I thought it stood out in the home game against Rabbitknickers, when the players performed with a freedom which pretty much amounted to a visible sigh of relief. I know the other lot were poor, but Rafa would have given them far too much respect. I reckoned the players looked chuffed to bits to be allowed just to get out there and play.

Whilst I agree in part, his best form was under Rafa, who seems to be the opposite type of manager.

I think Gerrard's best form had more to do with the relationship he built with Torres rather than any personal influence Rafa had (apart from playing them together obv)

One of his best seasons was the one when he played on the right wing with Morientes, Cisse and Crouch up front

Riera and degen.

Ooh and lucas

I hope you're right and Lucas improves our team in the same way as the former two already have

Possible quote here!

What yours definition of good?

Speaking of Zamora, I was watching a show a few days ago (forget the name)...

Some mock quiz game show with Redknapp and Flintoff; anyway at one point they were singing Zamora's song and I saw Redknapp squirm a little...yes, Jamie...it was originally Robbie's song and I'd have liked you to have mentioned that but you didnt.

He looked as if he wanted to though.

Ok that's all.

Jan is correct, he will never be good enough to be a regular starter for a 'big' club.
He will be fucked off the some mid table Spanish/German side where he play every week and when he scores a goal there will be a new thread on here saying what a massive mistake it was to sell him.

We spunked £11mil on this guy, ELEVEN FUCKING MILLION! What a fucking waste.
