Echo saying Coutinho and Markovic will start.
Hendo and Sakho expected to be fit.

City were excellent against Newcastle but average against Barcelona.
Yaya, Silva and Aguero obviously means trouble regardless..
 
I think Can should play midfield again... It was a difficult game in Istanbul and the only part that functioned well for us was central defence incl Ming. The pitch didnt help, but I am confident Can can develop his role in CM and will have much more help from Hendo than Allen offered...

Allen was twice as effective as Can in Istanbul. He was our best player.
 
I think there was a great uncertainty between can and Allen over who should go forward and who should stay back.

I'm hopefully an understanding will come with time
 
Can will boost us more playing at RCB, than at CM. I'll take Yaya Toure coming down the centre, pushing Allen out of the way and trying his luck from long range - if he scores with a great strike like the Besiktas guy did, then fair play to him. However, Nasri / Silva weaving their way in and out of the box via one flank or the other, or exploiting gaps between the flank CBs and Skrtel is a much bigger problem for us. Let them get into the box and they're going to put the ball into the net or set up Aguero. So, I'll take having a stronger back three over a weaker midfield. Even Can in midfield is no guarantee that we'll actually be strong enough there, which then gives us doubts in two areas.

NO. Can at LCB (with Skrtel & Toure).
 
I've been working all day on this stupid room I decided to open and I still need to do loads tomorrow... why can't this be on at 4pm? I'd get it all done then. Now I'm going to be lying in a puddle of my own emissions by 4 and everything is doomed.
 
Bad feeling about this. Mostly because half the team could look jaded and tired from Thursday.
If so, I cant see us winning.

Hopefully we've somehow rested a fair bit for 48 hours and can have a go for 90 mins.

Anfield will be rocking. Bricking it but thats normal. Come on Redmen!
 
I'm not convinced anfield will be rocking. Early Sunday kick offs are always muted, even against Utd they're not their usual vociferous standard.

It won't be deathly quiet like Goodison, but it won't be a cauldron.
 
Soz, its an early kick off isnt it. Fucking league cup final.

The atmosphere last season was so insane I expected a bit of the same. Early kick off will indeed reflect the crowd.

Massive game. After yesterday a win here is much needed. City have shown that they are voulnerable... We must go straight to thwir throats, bite hard and watch them bleed... Damn I miss Suarez!!!
