World Cup finally starting to come good? These second round matched have all been quite good. Great to see the so called weaker teams making good accounts of themselves. Maybe the drab first round games dampened everyones optimism?

I expect Round 3 to be when the tournament really gathers pace as many teams now have no choice but to attack.

I agree that the 2nd round of games have been great but I disagree that the games will get better. The first round was shit because teams were scared to open up for fear of getting no points in the opener. Then they opened up a bit in round 2 in hopes of securing 3 points and a better chance to advance.

Round 3 will be good for teams needing points, but those already clear will just coast and I'm not sure we will have as many good matches as the past week.

Then once we get to the knockout rounds it will get very cagey again and everyone will shut up shop at fear of getting knocked out.

The second week's been great. I'm really into it now. The best thing is how tight so many groups are: there are more 'groups of death' than groups of life.
