Does he fuck. Momo was woeful.

Nobody gave Brains more stick than me.

He's better than Lucas.

well, we certainly traded up from momo...

'lucas' - even makes momo look ace
[/quote]

i'd probably rather have lucas as a squad player, though. he usually does the basics very well; which momo couldn't.

Let's play "Midfield Jeopardy"!

Answer:

Fabregas, Lampard, Gerrard, Milner, Diaby, Bowyer, Ballack, Petrov, Barry, Ramsay, Denilson, Cahill, Fletcher, Huddlestone, Ireland, Feillani, Noble, Palacios, Ferguson, Carrick, Murphy, Whitehead, Osman, Brown, Parker, Song, O'Hara, de Jong, Jenas, Bullard, Sidwell, Thomas, Masher, Aquilani, Rodwell, Mikel, Cattermole, Cana, Reo-Coker, Reid, Merida.

Is it:

"Name some central midfield players in the Premiership better than Lucas?"

Correct.

Twice the player Sunny, at least when Sissoko tackled someone they knew about it.

Ahahahahahahaha!

Exactly. At least Brains could get about the pitch and kick people in the air. He murdered Barca in one game.

Lucas is just a piss-stain.

Someone told me that Lucas is statistically the best passer in the Premiership. I'm not going to check the stats out as I'm worried he's right, which says it all about the Sky generation and there stats (or chalkboards for Brendan 😉 ) really.

Re: Momo... excellent without the ball. Not so excellent with it.

This is the problem with stats people misinterpret them.

Splitting hairs, but be isn't statistically the best passer in the Premiership. His passing accuracy is the highest in the Premiership @ 86%.

Everyone knows the reason behind that is the fact that 95% of Lucas' passes go sideways or backwards.

Now the question is does the remaining 5% go in the 14% he fails to complete a pass

I'm going to say yes.

I still think he's a good player. Good enough to be a regular starter? No. One of our worst midfielders ever? Even bigger no. We need better, but I do not think he's the reason why we've been so rubbish this year. Injuries, lack of stability at the back, poor left back, and poor reaction to the course of a game by Rafa are much bigger problems.

His identical twin looks quite a promising prospect......

Momo was fucking shite. He didn't tackle people he just bundled into them like a skinny black Boris Johnson. At least Lucas can pass the ball albeit 5 yards. Momo couldn't even do that.

That's not much use when Lucas' passes ARE all five yards long or less, and almost all backwards or sideways at that. In addition to the game in which he tackled Barca into the ground (literally in some cases) Momo was instrumental in our winning the 2006 Cup Final against the Hammers, practically playing them on his own when even Stevie had run himself out in the second half. Lucas will never, ever be capable of a performance like that.

Nope. I'm not arguing. I'm saying I'd rather have Lucas than Momo. End of the argument. You can debate all you like between yourselves if you want. I really don't give a fuck.

You know what, there's a load of two faced fuckers on this website.

Haha

Who is the most *toweringly* shite central midfielder in Liverpool's modern-day history?

Candidates:

Brains
Lucarse
Diao
Paul Stewart

It's a tough one!

Any other truly shit players of the last 20 years we could include, or is that quartet of cunts sufficient?

When it comes down to it, neither are of the standard we require. They have glaringly different failings but neither are really worth debating.

In fact Momo recreated something Michael Thomas did. Something I thought I would never see repeated. But yes it is possible for a professional footballer to tackle themself.

you! Out! I have a soft spot for Igor. Have no idea why...

Anyways, I'm looking at it like this: Most had at least one excellent performance against a quality opponent. Momo had Barca, Igor had Juventus, Lucas had, er, Newcastle. Diao has nothing, rotted in the reserves and wouldn't even take a transfer out.
